Atlatl Thrower Carbon Fiber Composite Handle - Compatible with Carbon Express Atlatl Darts

One review noted it is too heavy and another review noted it is too light. An atlatl is supposed to be heavy to provide balance and the darts or spears (projectiles) are supposed to be fairly long for best performance. Read this to mean you need heavy enough projectiles and you can and should add weight to this atlatl to balance it properly for your projectiles. The spur on this is quite a bit longer than needed but that allows a lot of disparity between projectiles. Shorter darts are generally less accurate and powerful than longer heavier projectiles. Traditional hunting projectiles are 6' to 8' long. You can make your own projectiles on the cheap with 4' to 6' fiberglass driveway markers or plant stakes and duct tape fletching. I use 6' markers or plant stakes for serious practice but 4' is a lot easier to carry in a quiver. Longer poles can be found if you look hard enough. Beware of fiberglass slivers replacing projectiles is less trouble than dealing with fiberglass in your fingers. One review blamed tennis elbow on this item. Tennis elbow should be blamed on over exertion, bad form, etc. It is true you can get more power by throwing harder, but you do not need to hurt yourself to use this.

Cracked after about 20 throws. Not worth the money, especially after being scammed by the other items this company got on here saying the Atlanta comes with the arrows

It works perfectly but it was so heavy to at I ended up hurting my arm. Tennis elbow and I can’t throw for 2 months. I will make a lighter one out of. Wood

Waste of money. Doesn't work with 6 or 7 foot darts. I had to heavily modify and there is still no consistency. My other throwers work with the darts but this one won't. Sturdy but useless with the darts I own.
