Squirrels may eat bar stools.
Hello! My name is Ada, and I recently purchased this item through your website for my back yard. My husband (Rob) and I have lived in this house for about 25 years now, and always had plenty of ‘Natures Little Friends’ around to share it with. Over the years, we’ve had various birds, frogs, things that slither or crawl, an occasional deer or raccoon, squirrels (of course) and have welcomed them all. Our kitties enjoy watching them out the windows too 😊It was on one of these days I elected to purchase a Squirrel Feeder, or “Nut Bar” for our home. It looked pretty nice. It was made of wood, had a little counter for nature’s friends to sit, and even had little barstools which I thought were totally cute. Without apprehension, I placed my order! A few days later, the feeder arrived, and it looked just as good as the pictures online. In anticipation of its arrival, I also ordered a 10-pound bag of peanuts to start my Nut Bar in style. Everyone needs their ‘Grand Opening’ to be a success, and I knew the back-yard critters would love it. Rob placed the Bar on the fence with complete confidence that it was level, and secure. That’s kindof’ his thing, and it looked awesome. So YAY! The Nut Bar was open for business 😊. It was important to me to be able to see the Nut Bar from my window while working from home. I loved looking at all the birds and squirrels enjoying the roasted peanuts I made for them. Mostly Blue-Jays, some Crows, Rob thinks a Winter Wren?? But of course, squirrels. It’s very therapeutic watching their activity; and how cute it is that they’re making use of the counter-top feeder and bar stools. The next morning came, not only was the feeder empty (which I anticipated) but one of natures little friends ate one of the bar stools; it’s completely gone! I’m not kidding… it’s gone. It was later this day that I actually saw a squirrel eating another bar stool. WTF squirrel?? So yes people, if this works for you, go for it! It’s ok with me; I totally get it, but keep in mind… Squirrels may eat bar stools.

Cute
This is so cute. But, there are not real directions. The board to hold the corn is flimsy. The bench and tray are AWESOME! It was fun to watch “our” squirrel eat on it.

So cute but not built to survive any weather at all.
Loved this in the beginning, it made me wish I could get a little general store and a bank feeder to mount on my fence to have a whole mini Deadwood lol. But sadly, after one day the stool tops just fell off due to a cheap glue I guess? Though the stools were cute, they were actually more in the way then helpful for the squirrels. They were way too small for a squirrel to sit on or stand on. Then we had a few days of heavy rain and the bottom piece of wood (the foundation) started to warp and come off. It’s attached by a couple skinny nails that I was able to bend down easily with just my finger… which I did so the squirrels wouldn’t hurt themselves now that they were exposed. The side piece of wood that helped hold in the plexie glass food shield in place, broke off too. I’m really disappointed that just some rain made it fall a part when it’s intended to live outside. The squirrels, as you can see from photos are still eating from it so I just need to get some wood and fix the bottom so they have a foundation that’s stable they can stand on. I’ll be putting my 73 yr old dad to work! :)

Lucy loves her new nut bar
Very nicely put together. The only thing I would change is a hole on the bottom. The hole is too big and a lot of the food just pours out. Also the space on the top where it closes, needs to be a little taller. My squirrel had no problem, sticking her hands in there and pulling out the hazelnuts.

Good but has a design flaw
This thing is adorable, easy to install an fill up with food. There's just one problem. The little stools are too close to the feed opening. The squirrels can't fit their butts or their feet onto them. Also beware that keeping this feeder filled is important or an annoyed squirrel might show his displeasure by eating all the little seats and leaving little spikes. Possibly a warning?

Cute, but didn't even last a full day.
This is such a cute feeder, but it's definitely not well-made. Either that, or my squirrels had a giant bar brawl after I put it up.The seats are attached (barely) by a single brad/staple. I have one that's completely gone and one that's leaning perilously. The board that acts as the bar top just slides into a groove, so that got removed and tossed to my dog to destroy (he can't reach the feeder, so they absolutely tossed it aside for him). There was a piece of plexiglass that helped hold the seeds in...it also just rode in a groove. The plexiglass also disappeared on the first day, but I have not found it.It didn't last a day.

Cute but Doesn't last
I was so excited about this find! It's adorable and the squirrels loved it, but after the first good rain, the wood swelled and started breaking apart. The sign at the top has broken into 3 pieces already, the little shelf that holds the peanuts inside has fallen apart. Clearly this wood doesn't do well outside-- and I can't imagine it's intended for use anywhere else considering it's for squirrels. Disappointed, I really wanted this to last!

Squirrels love picnics too
I have an assortment of squirrel feeders and picnic tables. I chose this one because it is a little smaller than the previous one so it fits better. Also I like the table section is more like a tray so it holds the nuts and seeds without falling on the ground. The squirrels have options! Start with some nuts, then gnaw on some corn. It’s also a darker wood so it won’t show the weather wear as quickly. I will buy again.
