I originally gave this one star. Until my wife smelled it. She thinks it’s amazing. I was extremely disappointed at the size of the jar. However I’ve noticed I only need to use a 1/4 of the amount I normally do on a daily basis! I will probably switch to this permanently. I see this tiny bottle lasting a very long time and the scent grows on you. Also my wife says my hair looks thicker and fuller! Really high quality product if you wanna stay away from alcohol and water products.

The clay pomade was perfectly intact and its smell hits you like a field of roses. It holds the hair perfectly and does not feel like chemicals are eating your hair. Highly recommend!!!

As someone with super difficult hair, I have wasted a fair share of time and money on products that don't work. On a whim, I took a chance on this pomade and it's wonderful. Great hold, lightweight, and it smells so good, but the thing that surprised me the most was how much thicker and fuller my looked the first time I used it. I'm so excited to have finally found a product that delivers. Highly recommended.

This product is pretty good quality, just like most clays. Im usually a fan of clay but this one missed the mark for me with the hold and look, almost makes your hair frizzy and is more difficult to style. Because of this, it’s unusable for me. I like a clean look that other clays give, not frizzy. This company has the market cornered with having minimal ingredients, so this product is wildly overpriced for 2oz.

All these natural organic ingredients are completely ruined by the amount of fragrance in this product. Smells like cheap Axe body spray and gave me a headache. Way too strong and there is no such thing as “body safe fragrance” as they claim as fragrance is a well known endocrine (hormone) disruptor. My hair doesn’t need to smell like cheap body spray. I just don’t get why you ruined this good product with fragrance. Would not recommend and will most likely just end up throwing it away.

So I've seen a few people complaining that the "rugged scent" is "like incense."If you open the jar and whiff, it 100% smells like a candle.But it's pleasant once it's in your hair. You get light whiffs of the juniper and Cuban during the day. For the first 5 minutes, it's stronger. But then it's just a mild refreshing scent that sticks with you.As for the actual quality of the Clay Pomade, compared to a true matte clay, it's ever so slightly shinier. It's not a natural shine. I'd describe it more as dull than pure matte. Matte, for me, is to where your hair is dry and makes it a little lighter. This one gives it just a little dark tone, not much (Not shiny, just a little darker). As for the hold, it holds strong at first, but you may need to touch it up a few times (It'll lose its hold a bit throughout the day). I think this is mostly because it's beeswax. It dissolves a bit. So the hold is strong at first, then more of a medium hold after about 6 hours, at which point sometimes combing it fixes the hold oddly enough, or just a dab more clay will fix it. Overall, I think this is a decent clay, and the slight cons are worth not having a bunch of harsh chemicals on your head all day. It's pricey stuff, but you don't need much of it, just about the tip of your index, maybe two or three more dabs.

I have tried over 50 different hair products, this is the best I have ever tried! Not only does it hold your hair amazingly it’s natural and organic!! Best ever I hope they never change the product. A little goes a long way firm hold!
