Q: Is there any stretch to it?

I have always used this fabric it is 100% cotton & I have never had a problem with it stretching, if your not looking for stretchy fabric I would recommend this kind.

Q: Is this heavy enough to use for making womens pants?

This fabric is a typical quilted fabric. Make a blanket, or I think it will be suitable for spring and summer pants. Thank you

Check the product info - I believe the cotton in 45 inches wide, sold in 3 yd cuts. The cotton/linen is wider (53 inches, I think), also sold in 3 yd cuts.
