Usata e basta.Sola.Eveline é diventata decisamente una delle mie protagoniste femminili preferite.Ho amato tutto di lei, soprattutto ciò che ha fatto alla fine.Crudele e giusto. Now this book right here was amazing!!! To me it's a medium burn, but you can't hate the characters. Evie is someone who stays to herself and doesn't like when someone tells her what to do or how she should do something. Nick is someone who wants to bring down the drug business. But when it comes down in the end on what they should do it's like a tug of the heart and they have to figure out a plan before everything falls. Excellent read!!!!

Pretty good read,it had my head spinning omg. Would recommend if you like bad girls with golden retriever boy energy.

Another stunner by Emily McIntire. This is the 3rd book in the Never After standalones Series and it did not disappoint. I read this book in less than 24 hours because I could not put it down. It's a dark contemporary romance. Make sure to read triggers before going into this book.I really love what Emily has created with this series. This is a very unique "retelling" where the theme is "Wizard of Oz". She has an amazing talent of writing "villians" in a way that just makes you love them and want to root for them. I really enjoyed seeing how this author handled the forbidden nature of their relationship and how they gain their HEA was such a beautiful wrap-up to this angsty love affair of a romance.This story follows Evie and Nick. They are far different ends of the spectrum and meet randomly in a club and share and some passionate interactions. But reality wakes them up when they are reunited with each other when Nick is working undercover, to bring down a drug cartel and his focus is the family that Evie is a part of. Her father is the king of the underworld of Kinland Heights. She is the daughter that does the dirty work and is still given the least amount of information, Dorothy is the sister who has her father's heart. Evie lives for the poetry and her gardens and secret places she hides from the world. Even though Nick’s focus is to be drawn in by Dorothy, as she is the flighty sister, there is something in Evie that he can’t resist. Even knowing she is probably the villain and there is no happy ever after in their future, he can’t resist what she gives to him and the love that is starting to build between them despite how forbidden their relationship is.If you like dark romance and are intrigued by the series, I can’t recommend these books enough and they easily read as standalone. And the quirky connections that we have to the Wizard of Oz were such a delight. I also think the way Emily handles her layers of plot and character build-up was quite impressive. I was so hooked on this story and very eager to see where she would take this story.“But if I'm her calm, then she is my chaos, and if I can't live with her forever, then I don't want to live at all.” 😭😍Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶 4/5Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

This book was my favorite of the reimaginings so far. I LOVED the MMC! Dark, seductive, and enthralling, this book pulled me through a story of love, lust, anger, betrayal, heartache, and happiness.
