The National Geographic Bee Ultimate Fact Book: Countries A to Z

This is the EXACT same book as from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. I bought both for my kids in preparation for the bee. I assumed they were different. They are identical - down to the page number. Don't buy both!That said, there are many many facts in the book. I wouldn't mind a book that was dumbed down a bit more for the beginning geo bee competitors.

I purchased this book to supplement my child's studies. I was very disappointed to see that the countries that make up The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island, were omitted as separate entries. They are mentioned as "Administrative Divisions" with "4 countries" listed in parenthesis at the end of the entry. They are elsewhere mentioned in the UK entry, but scattered throughout the facts.

Maps are not very detailed, new edition is needed, however, it is a very useful book for preparation.

I have had this book less than two weeks and used it three times for information. I have a new endeavor to fact find an African country and this book is a great starting point.

I like that the book has information on every country in the world

The book is useful for prepaation of Geography Bee. However, its not complete as National Geography Bee covers several other topics related to culture etc not covered here. Time for an updated version.

I bought this item for my boys to study during the summer break. My kids liked it very much. The beginning of the book has several maps of the world then the pages that follow give brief information about ever country in the world. An excellent reference book to have at home especially if your kids enjoy geography.

This is a great book if you are a true competitor in the geography bee or you simply love geography and want to collect this fact-filled guide. Worth your money:)

It is what it is. White pages, lists of countries with facts underneath. Booooring, but good for learning facts.
