Hammer came with one end of the chisel slightly curved in and rounded (than the other end that's straighter and more perpendicular)...Thought it might have been a chip initially..Upon closer inspection, seems it was milled and forged that way ....Doesn't affect function and it seems the slight inconsistency can also be put to good use after chiseling...a solid and hefty one piece that comes with its hand made variations here and there...really like the overall weight distribution and balance in hand..

Heavy duty, well made. I paid almost the same price for a cheaply made masonry hammer years ago. That hammer had a wooden handle and used a cheap grade metal for the head. This hammer is heavier and has a comfortable grip. Nice edge for cleaning and splitting bricks. Probably will be the last masonry hammer I'll ever need to buy.

I use it for multiple purposes. To my surprise the sharp end of this hammer actually even tougher than a masonry chiser, I used it to break thick tiles and it worked beautifully. The blunt part of the hammer is so strong that it flatted a masonry chiser without changing any to itself. Amazingly hard hammer.
