MATHMOS Astro Vinyl Lava Lamp The Original - Violet/Orange [Energy Class G]

This is a superb lava lamp from the original makers Made in the UK the quality is fantastic the colour is outstanding the only downside is I want Another one.

I returned this after two bulbs both blew in under a week of getting it - the first bulb lasted about 20 hours, the second bulb around 6 hours. I handled them as suggested in the instructions (not touching the bulbs directly) so it's an issue with faulty circuitry or something (I have used the same plug socket with other appliances with no problems).Blown bulbs aside, the quality of the lava lamp itself was poor - especially for £100. The glass was full of defects, and putting the base, glass bottle and cap together was a balancing act. There was no snug fit, I had to shift each component until it all looked approximately level. For £100 I'd at least expect the thing to fit together properly.The colour combination didn't particularly work either (orange/purple), the orange wax just overpowered the whole thing and you couldn't tell the water was supposed to be purple. It certainly looked nothing like the photos, but that's on me for falling for marketing.I had a £20 no-brand lava lamp in the 90's that was better quality than this, and that's not hyperbole.

This product is beautiful from its conception, solid quality, suit well with my decoration in my TV bench. Very hypnotizing when looked at.

A great mood light for when I chill to my music.

The lamp itself is well made.Came well packaged.After a couple of weeks one of the bulbs blew..That did come with a spare. I did contact the company as that should come under warranty about another replacement bulb..but they were polite but would not replace it...only if both bulbs blew....After paying £100 I don't think this is good enough so not happy.....can you believe it the second bulb has blown now....Bought some more myself!!!

It works well compared to Cheeper ones , but glass has lots of infections , and the wrong colour was in the box , box said it was violet and turquoise, in the box was pink and blue , but we liked it so didn’t send it back
