Sherbetless?
The kids, sugary sweet junkies, loves these sweets, all. the way upto our teen son. None of them realised they were sugar free with the main constituent being isomalt, which is a sugar substitute made with beets. I was quite impressed with seeing Isomalt listed in the ingredients. if youre into the new hit cake shows on Netflix, you would know they use molten isomolt as a strong sugar glue to hold the most elaborate and inspiring decorations atop their cakes. It doesn't taste as sweet as sugar, is this a bad thing? No, not if you intentionally buy sugar-free candy as the very definition is that the flavour will be that of any sugar free treat. We were quite impressed with the validity of each of the four flavours, they were a good representation of the listed flavour.I was however disappointed with the lack of sherbet in these sweets, especially as a lover of sherbet limes as a child. The sherbet within, was non-existent in all the flavours. Perhaps the molten isomalt caused the sherbet to disintegrate?Would I buy them again?Well the teen has a repeat of these on his birthday wishlist. Personally, I prefer a sherbet sweet to contain sherbet. I hope they can tweak the ingredients to include some sweet/sour sherbet.4 stars

Not Quite the Sweet Nostalgia I Hoped For.
I recently ordered these sugar-free hard boiled retro sweets, hoping for a nostalgic treat without the guilt of excess sugar. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfying, which is why I'm giving them two stars.1. **Taste Disappointment**: While I understand that sugar-free options may not taste exactly like their sugary counterparts, these sweets had a noticeable artificial aftertaste. It left me missing the authentic flavor of classic retro candies.2. **Texture Issues**: The texture of these sweets was also a letdown. They were much harder than I expected, making them a bit uncomfortable to chew. I was hoping for a smoother, more enjoyable eating experience.3. **Limited Variety**: The assortment of flavors was limited, and some of the flavors were quite bland. I was hoping for a wider range of classic flavors that would transport me back to the good old days.4. **Misleading Packaging**: The packaging made these sweets look more enticing than they actually were. I was disappointed when the product inside didn't quite match the vibrant and enticing images on the box.On the positive side, I appreciate the effort to provide a sugar-free option for those who are health-conscious or have dietary restrictions. The concept is good, but the execution fell short for me.In conclusion, if you're seeking a truly authentic retro candy experience, these sugar-free hard boiled sweets may not be the best choice. There are likely better alternatives out there that can satisfy your sweet cravings without compromising on taste and texture.

Great if you’re after sugar-free
I love my sweets, but am really trying to watch my weight, so I already buy sugar-free sweets regularly. I keep them in my bag for journeys and I also keep some on my desk at work for when I really feel like something ‘sweet’ to suck.So these come in a nice plain white box, four separate litttle clear bags of sweets, The bags do not lend well to being opened and re-sealed! So if you’re not planning on eating a whole bag in one go, you’re likely going to want to pour them into a little bowl, or put into a different bag, which is great for work but not ideal for a handbag.Flavour wise, I liked them a lot, they didnt have the really sharp tang of sherbet that I’d have really liked but there is a sherbert tang there and the flavours are maybe not quite as strong as you’d get with real sugar, but they still for me, are a tasty alternative to the sugar version which I just wouldn’t eat during the day anyway.

Sour, Proper Sour
On arrival of these sherbets, it so transpired I did not know what sherbets are. I lived my life thinking sherbets are supposed to be sticky and overly sweet. These are alright for the first minute or two, and then your mouth explodes as the sour filler bursts through and you are left with two options - to whether brave it and stick it out with your face contorted, or spit it out. Two of my family chose different of the above options. I opted not to touch them. That is until I get a proper sore throat when it does not matter anymore and the element of surprise might serve you well and take the edge off the pain. The green ones are the worst. They are sour to begin with. The pink ones are the loveliest, there is no sourness about them. The orange and the purple ones are so so. They are also large. So when that sourness bursts through you do end up looking rather comic, with your mouth full and the face pulled in all directions, so you might want to leave these for the guests after drinks, to create a more positive atmosphere.
