MinnetonkaMen's Moose with Fleece Moccasin

My husband wears a size 14. He loves these moccasins. This is his second pair. He says they are comfortable and very well made.

The moccasins fit to size. The leather is very soft. From the first moment, they were very comfortable.The packaging was horrible. They were sent in a flimsy shipping bag. The box inside was completely smashed and ripped. Fortunately, the moccasins we're not damaged. For the price of these moccasins, they should have used a more substantial shipping container. Would be 5 star except the poor attention to shipping.

Very satisfied with the moccasins - great fit, color and comfort.

First off, I am very picky about my slippers. I am self employed and work from home, so I put more wear on my slippers than I do my shoes!For me, the requirements for slippers are: comfort, durability, sufficiently thick soles to allow for occasional trips out to pick up the newspaper, etc during Michigan wintertime, and not so warm that my feet sweat during the summer.These fit at least most of those criteria very well. The moose-hide is super soft and very comfy. They are well made and fit very well. The soles are fine for the occasional outdoor excursion. The flannel liners are perfect - warm but not too hot. In the winter I can wear wool socks when extra warmth is needed.My only concern is the soles. They are more than adequate for most folk's slipper use. They will definitely last longer than the crepe soles that some slippers use. BUT - they are a little thinner than I would prefer. I am sure I'll get a year's use before the soles wear out, but I am not sure I'll get a 2nd year out of them. Perhaps I will, but I'd feel better if they had an additional one or two millimeter of thickness to the rubber. If they were made of cheap man-made uppers, I wouldn't be concerned, but I expect the moose-hide to last for years and it will be a real shame if the soles turn out to be the weak link and wear out long before this fine moose-hide is ready for retirement.Keep in mind that I wear these as much as 18 hours a day. If you are only going to wear them evenings and weekends, I am confident you'll get 2 or 3 years out of the soles. But, it sure seems to me like Minnetonka just missed perfection with the thin rubber soles.Even so, I am giving them five stars, because they are the closest I have come to finally finding the Perfect Slippers.

These moose skin/fleece slippers are new to me so this is just first impression info. The fleece seems more like felt which is fine for me as fleece would be too warm in my area. Perhaps the felt, although warn and comfy, detracts from the softness of the moose skin. Next time I may get the unlined style. The slippers seem well constructed and I cannot relate to those reviews that said they fell apart right away. I did adjust the leather lace to tighten the fit but was very careful. It is a thin, but typical, leather lace and if you just yank on it without helping it slide around the slipper, it could easily break. I don't see this as a negative, rather it is common sense to be gentle. This is not a work boot. I am glad I spent the extra money for these and would recommend them to a friend.
