Rothco Ranger PT Shorts - High-Performance Athletic Wear - Perfect for The Gym, Running, and More

I bought these for my boyfriend to wear around the yard to let the sun hit more of his thigh since his swim trunks go to his knees. He has pretty thick legs and I wanted something that wasn’t restricting for movement. They have the mesh liner and he says it doesn’t dig into him and they’re comfortable. He wears them all the time. You can’t see through them at all so there is no worry there. I’d say they’re great for the price. These do the job. However, they leave little room for the imagination in the crotch if you know what I mean. So, if you’re looking for something looser this isn’t for you. However, they fit just like ranger panties do. So, if you’re like me and you enjoy that kind of thing- these are it!

I'm a 5'6", 135lb female, and I ordered the large, which fits me comfortably even though I wear my pants low on my hips. Not too tight, not too loose. No drawstring, so you definitely want to get the right size for you because the fit will rely on the elastic waistband. I have average thigh width and I still have plenty of space around each to breathe without being too roomy. I ordered the olive drab color, and it's true olive drab, as can be expected from Rothco. Washing instructions are easy, just wash cold and tumble dry low.Solid quality. These are very soft. The liner does tend to ride up, but it hugs the legs so if you're on the ground, nobody can see up your shorts. Good for PT or regular workouts, and they'll fit under pants without taking up hardly any extra space. They definitely end up a lot shorter when sitting down, if you're self conscious about something like that. I don't mind it, so these shorts get 5 stars from me.

Let me begin with this. I bought my fist pair in 2019. and still have them. Great fit, and even though they seem thin they have held up well. No color fading, no raveling or seams coming apart. I wear these shorts almost every day in the summer months weather I'm relaxing, working around the yard, or exercising. Absolutely love them. After buying the first pair, I've since bought five more pairs. Three black, one tan, one blue, and one green. So now the not so good and the problem is not the shorts but the manufacturer. When I bought the blue pair they sent a medium instead of a small. No problem, these things happen so I just wear that pair around the house. Last week I ordered a green pair and was pleased the tag said small however, they were not. I compared them to the medium pair as well as the other small pairs and they are definitely mediums regardless of what the tag said. Something has changed and I'm not going to be buying Rothco shorts again. Maybe Soffe, I don't know. The bottom line is that the shorts a great, super comfortable, and hold up well but something has changed with the sizing.

I say underwear because my boxers are longer than these, no underwear you can clearly see my package in these in sunlight..other than that great pt shorts,keeps chafing away also easy to move and bend in these and run I love these shorts other than them being see-through would highly recommend and possibly buy another pair myself

Ranger Panties/Silkies, whatever you want to call them they are comfortable and functional. These are a great overall athletic short and can be worn for running/jogging or lifting weights at the gym. Yeah, they are short and somewhat form fitting but that aids in the functionality as baggy basketball shorts get in the way. The built in liner keeps your boys in place without being too tight or too loose to be of worth. With the liner in place you do not have to worry about anything becoming transparent. I will say that I ordered a large and they were pretty short/tight (though not uncomfortable). If you like your Silkies a little more loose go up a size.

Shorts are like what I had in the service but the sizing description is way off. I bought XL (my waist is a 38) and they fit like medium. I requested a return. Will see what happens.Ordered a new set. 3XL. Fits right on the money. The seller agreed to refund original purchase and sent mailing slip. We're good to go. Hoorrrahhhh!!

I can’t figure out what’s going on with these. Way back I used to get the exact same brand and it was as though they used some miracle cloth to make them. They would shrink up and turn into this really nice cotton type feel that would get really soft and sculpt the body real nice. Nowadays the last 81037 pairs of these I have ordered are forever nylon shine material and fit all loose and stupid. I want the old material back or info on where to find the old material.I tried ordering all shades of O.D. green in all packaging hoping that maybe I was purchasing the “USMC special” but I’ve had no luck. The future looks dismal and unfulfilling and shiny and nylon.Also, the light green color is completely transparent and everyone can see what’s going on.

Fits true to sizing, if you know your ranger panties then they fit exactly as they should size and length. Material is good so far, no tears and the liner is as expected.

I was shocked to see not only the quality of this item but the fact that they were so tiny. They are unwearable. The fabric is not what I had expected but some cheap cloth. These were the worst quality and it is for the garbage. Never again will I order!
