An Unquiet Mind

I'm enjoying the book so far.But the digital edition contains editors/reviewers comment boxes that are distracting.I believe this is part of the actual digital file and not the Popular Highlights feature on Amazon. I have checked all three of my devices and that feature is disabled. These boxes look like review's boxes from a program like MS Word. Hopefully the publisher will upload a clean copy.You can see what I'm talking about in the free sample, so download that to decide if the boxes will be too distracting for you to enjoy the book

My wife liked book a lot was raised in small town where story took place

Once I started reading, I couldn't put the book down. An amazing story told with raw emotion and truths. Thank you Carol for sharing your story and bringing attention to mental health and healing.

THIS HAPPENED IN MY HOMETOWN AND EVERYONE WAS GLUED TO THE NEWS PAPER AND RADIO AND EVEN TO THE COURT HOUSE TO FIND OUT THE OUTCOME OF THE TRIAL.

Interesting, enlightening, empowering...I knew I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. This book reminds me live, love, and be grateful.

An excellent read, it takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You want to take Carol and wrap her in your arms, trying to take away the pain and loneliness, giving love and strength. Being from Swainsboro, this memoir has a special place in my heart. To Carol, you are a strong person and I have so much admiration for your bravery. You opened your soul and opened our hearts.

This book mirrors my life in so many ways. My mother was treated at Central State Hospital. Most of my memories of Mom involve her smoking and drinking coffee at the kitchen table.

Easy read, good book but ended abruptly. Left wanting more info on main character. Worked in mental health facility. Accurate description of 60s
