Caravan Jumbo Hair Claw in Black Color of Celluloid Acetate

This claw is good if you have a lot of long hair to pin up, but the material it is made of is easily breakable. I have dropped it on the floor twice and 2 teeth have broken off. I purchased a different claw (Large Claw Hair Clips Jumbo Hair Clips (Black) 2pc) on Amazon which is made of a stronger plastic. After several drops, no breaks. I would not purchase this Caravan Jumbo Hair Claw again.

Good hair clip so far. Tight hinge. Wanted something large enough to hold a lot of long hair!Only downside is that the black plastic looks a bit cheap, so I will go for a tortoiseshell next time.UPDATE: My last one broke in 5 months. I decided to go ahead and buy another because it's not expensive, and I really need a large clip for my hair. But if the new one breaks that quickly again, I won't buy another.

I have been looking for a sturdy hair clip to buy for my mother. She has long waist length hair and the hair clips that most stores carry today just do not last or hold your hair up for long. So I decided to spend a little more money and buy her this hair clip. My mother absolutely loves this hair clip. It holds her long hair and has remained whole since she started wearing the clip. Time will tell if it continues to hold up but so far, she has been very pleased with the hair clip. Even though it is a little expensive, the quality is better and well worth the price.

This is by far the greatest accessory sold for long, wavy, or thick hair. I keep one in my purse at all times! It makes putting your hair up a cinch! And eliminates the need for extra pins or any other hair bands. You will be amazed when you put one in your hair. I love it so much I bought six of them. My sister and daughter keep taking mine they love them too! You won't be disappointed if you buy this Claw. You won't find it in drug stores like Rite Aid, or CVC or Target. They do sell it at speciality beauty shops but for over 10 dollars.

It doesn't matter because you can get this lovely high quality clip from Caravan. I wish they were less expensive, but the quality is nice and it holds my huge amount of hair. I bought it in tortoise shell as well and it's also very pretty and useful.PRODUCT UPDATE:I was very excited when I ordered this product. The plastic was a good quality and it worked well. However, in less than one year both of the clips I ordered broke at the spring point. My old Goody ones that I was trying to replace lasted at least 10 years if not 20! I will not be spending so much on these again. If they were cheaper, I might reorder them, but at this kind of price, I cannot afford to. I am posting this with the hope that the provider will seriously decrease the price.

I was really excited to see that Amazon carried these jumbo size hair claws as they are not easy to find. So I ordered 4 black ones and 2 white ones. I have ordered hundreds of products through Amazon and online over the past 10 years and this rates as honestly the worst! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what shoddy quality they were - uneven plastic teeth, fragile wire clasp, visible scratches everywhere... they look like cheap, secondhand goods! The white ones have black ink/dirt stains that can't come off too. And one more thing, my hair kept getting caught in the wire clasp! I'm so disgusted. Don't say you've not been warned.

When I put my hair up in these claws, the cheap plastic hurts my scalp. There are little plastic sections that stick out and have tiny bits of plastic that stick out of those, so that my hair catches on the plastic and hurts. Also, this piece overall does not hold hair very well. It clamps down hard but makes it so the hair is squished and doesn't "clasp" well. Would not buy again.

This is too big for me, and I have a ton of thick, past my shoulders hair that likes to break the teeth in hair claws when I put in up. I though it looked silly in my hair as it is super jumbo. Be careful what you wish for
