Q: Where are these made?

I don’t know but I would not buy them. They melted on my stove and it won’t come off

Q: My range is about 1/2" higher that the counter. I'm guessing this won't work for me? Any advice?

I think it would still work as it's a soft silicone . I would try it as you can always return it if it doesn't work. I bought two one for my home and one for my rental and the rental counter is higher than the stove by about 1/2 inch and its working fine.

Don’t think it really matters. They sit over the edges of the stove and countertop to stop food particles from falling through. I’m sure my hot pans have touched them and there is no marks from the heat.

Q: Why so wide? I did not realize one side would be so wide. I cannot post a review, but would downgrade it because of this issue.

I was pleased it was so wide for 2 reasons…1) in our case the space between drive and counters isn’t flush, it’s about 3/4” 2) the wider it is the ability to stay flat. Hope this helps.
