Better than original maybe
The media could not be loaded. This is the second time I have had to replace the door gasket. First time the machine was less than 2 years old. I at that time used the Whirlpool OE part. The Whirlpool gasket was $160 then at a local parts place. I noticed then how thin the rubber was. Well that replacement only made 18 months (looked at my Facebook memories). Since the OE one is thin garbage I decided to try this one from Amazon for $99. It’s definitely thicker rubber so hopefully it last longer! Also everything looks the same as the original.Whirlpool model WFW5620HW0

Works
Worked great for the washer... Seems better than the factory. The whole process can be tough to replace, but anytime you work on washers, it will be. This worked great.

Some differences from the OEM
I bought this boot seal for a Maytag front load washer. It's a little different from the one I'm replacing. As you may see in the photo, this seal has the hole open. The one I'm replacing has the hole sealed off. I was afraid that this opening would cause humidity or other items to accidentally enter the unit so I was able to plug it with a tube ending. I hope it works out ok. I am a little concerned about this. Otherwise, it's good.

It works well
The seal fit my Whirlpool well. One notch was slightly off but it did not effect the function/fit. The only thing that concerns me is that there are 2 separate fill line holes on this and both are open. The original manufacturer part had the other hole sealed. I doubt it will be an issue though.

That it works great
Great buy and you can change this seal without taking the washer apart. Just remove the outside spring on the old one then the inside spring. Then just pull the old one out then install the new seal just like you took out the old one. supper easy

It Works!
So far it appears to work well and is very sturdy. It is the correct one for the whirlpool model.

So far so good on day 10. Install want too bad. Online videos helped with suggestions on putting wire rings back on.

Wrong Product, this is not the correct replacement for W10897390
If you are looking to replace W10897390, which now has a new part number of W11314648, this is not the correct replacement. This product is actually the replacement for W10920669. The main difference is 7390 has a closed hole, while 0669 has an open hole. So if you are looking to replace 7390, don't buy this one or it will have a hole that you have nothing to attach to.
