C0981S024 Raileasy Swivel Ends

This purchase was used to finish up the railings on our deck, instead of buying an entire box of 10 units. Stainless steel is NOT cheap! The Rail Easy products themselves are great, except for their stainless screws. So many of the screws were poorly made, in China (production debris left in the Phillips head screw depressions, which we had to remove). We stripped out a bunch of screws during installation, even with drilling pilot holes. The swivel hardware and the tensioners work well with the stainless cable, but the installation instructions for the entire system are extremely poor. We found that the suggested measurement calculations were off by a minimum of 2". Luckily, we had not cut many pieces of cable and were able to use the too-long pieces elsewhere. Suggestion to new installers: try your first installation in a place that isn't going to show, so that when you screw up (and you probably will) you can go back and fix it after you "learn" how this all works together. The hardest part for us was removing our mistakes in order to go back and fix them. Rail Easy doesn't give you any tips about how to do that! We asked and they told us to "cut it and toss it" ---- which we just couldn't afford to do. Finally, use the old time-tested suggestion: measure twice, cut once.

I gave this four stars because it is really beautiful when installed, BUT the video makes it look significantly easier than it really is. Make sure to purchase the correct cutting tool from the company and get ready for cut up finger tips as wearing gloves is impossible. Have fun!

These worked great as anchors when paired with the swivel tensioners. I used four inch spacing on my straight runs, and to keep the same space for the angled railing, I actually spaced these five inches apart on the end posts. Worked perfectly... My stair angle is fairly standard, but if yours differs much, you may need to recalculate.Also, due to the angle of the stairs, and the shorter rail height, you won't need as many runs of cable as you do for straight sections. Mine for example only took four runs of cable for the stairs vs eight runs of cable for the straight sections. Actual cable spacing on each was four inches.Cheers

Great looking and good quality but cables constantly getting loose and comes out. I have done everything according to Instalation manual

High quality and you pay for it.

Had to replace some fittings there were not initially installed correctly due to the dufus doing the work. Easy to install and work perfectly allowing me to increase tension on the cable.

Expensive but works really well and looks good - definitely worth it
