A must for precise hole placement, but could be improved
This is a high quality template for very accurate hole placement when building wire guardrails. However, the template is only 24" long, which means you need to move it for 36 or 42 inch posts. That's not a big problem, but the whole purpose of a template is to make the job easier and more precise. As soon as you have to move it, you run the risk of losing precision. It would have been much nicer, and easier, if they would have made the template 42" long.

A must for a cable rail system.
Bought for my deck carpenter (he wanted to make his own template gave up on his and used this one) he said it was much easier to use than his template. Highly recommend.

A must have item for the DIY
After using this product, I can't imagine trying to drill holes in a 4X4 post without it. A DIY cable rail system build is a tedious process. This is one item that addresses a detail that makes a huge difference between holes that align(neat) and holes that need to be re-drilled and reamed out (sloppy).

YOU MUST HAVE THIS TO DO THE JOB RIGHT!
YOU MUST HAVE THIS TO DO THE JOB RIGHT! Without this you cannot get the holes right. I picked a size off the deck, then I clamped the template to the 4"x4" and used a pencil to mark the holes where to screw and drill. Now the deck is STUNNING!

Saves time
Even though not many can afford the railing systems from Atlantis, at least you can cheat the system with this hole drilling jig. Saves time and you can go buy all the items to do your railing in Galvanized for 1/8 of the price. My project is going to be around $450 total but in stainless steel it would have cost me well over $2500 through Atlantis systems. Go galvanized and save some cash.....
