WOLF RANGE Company 00-718361 Oven Door Spring

The spring looks exactly like the original spring on my 22 year old Wolf 4 burner gas range. The old spring no longer held the door up beyond 10 degrees from vertical (closed position). The hook ends of the new spring did require some modification to slip over the adjusting eyelet and the door lever on the other end. I just used a Dremel tool with a disk cutter to cut off about 1/16 inch off the ends of the hooks which allowed them to slip in easily. After installing and tightening the spring adjustment the door worked liked new and no longer banged down when I open it. It's an easy DIY project - likely saved a $150 home visit from the repair person. BTW, the supplier Global Appliance Service has excellent customer service. An empty envelope arrived the first time, obviously torn by the shipper who then taped it back up. I emailed them and the next day they sent another spring by 1-day express mail!Probably costed them more to send it express than what they got out of my purchase. Kudos to them.

I have older 4 Wolf ovens, each has 2 of these springs. The original springs have started breaking, about 1 per month. I have replaced 4 so far with these springs, they are a perfect fit, and far quieter then the original springs. Solid & strong tension.

Buying parts for a Wolf range is like buying a headlight for a Ferrari. It costs a lot for what it is but it's a quality item and fits perfectly.
