Been waiting for this book for what seems like ages. You know how you get all into a series and you are waiting for this one characters book and when you get it you are disappointed? Well not here. Jake, our reluctant alpha, meets his match in Kai. ( sooo glad it was not Ilsbeth ). Jake is finally accepting the fact he really is alpha and realizes that he will have to leave Logan and the pack or challenge Logan at some point for Alpha. No way can he allow that to happen. Kai has been in hiding for years she has a power that could harm supernaturals and everyone wants it. When her sister is kidnapped she is sent to Jake to help. He is immediately attracted to her but she is not wolf and as much as his wolf wants to mark her he knows it is impossible. I so enjoyed Jake and his dance through the mating process. Great addition to the series.

Jake is the best eighth installment of the Immortals of New Orleans series and what a story!! Action, adventure, surprises and smoking hot sex!!I have been waiting for this book since I ended Jax! It was so worth the wait!! Author Kym Grosso did not disappoint Jake and Kai story like no other in the series. Kai is so different from all the other characters. Yes she is a shifter but something new something we were just introduced to in Jake. She is a fascinating creature.Jake is an alpha no matter how much he doesn't want to accept that fact!! Kai is going to test him with everything she has and this makes for some extremely hot and explosive scenes. When you throw Quintus in the mix yes more and more twist! Just when you think you have it all figured out BOOM!! You're wrong.This was my first paranormal series I ever read and it cause me to love PNR. If you have t read this series please go now. This book can be read as a standalone but you get so much more out of it by reading the series.

Jake(Immortals of New Orleans Book 8)Another wonderful book by Kym Grosso. Kym delivered us an amazing twisted story. In the beginning I was very aware of the characters, because I was in the search to find who is going to be the traitor, an amazing plot, hot Alpha a sassy heroine, a ménage between vampire, wolf and the pixiu. This book is a most. She did it again she transport us to a paranormal world and merge the character of previous book. You need to read the all the books on the series. I loved to read the next book hopping for Quintus story.Jake Louviere is in an internally war he didn’t want to accepted his destiny as an Alpha of the Anzober Wolves (San Diego). He need to return to San Diego to assume the responsibility of the pack. But first a mysterious woman arrive at his home saying the name of Ilsbeth. When he try to have any information for this woman appears Quintus Tullius (an ancient vampire more old that Leopold and Kade). This woman Kai Beckett need a master to control her pixiu. But a vampire Kasdeya has kidnaped Kai sister. Together the triad need the powers together to kill Kasdeya and rescue Kai sister Shilan and restore the peace in the Anzober Pack. To complete this they have to find the Kris and Kai must do a sacrifice.

I written so many reviews I feel I have becoming redundant in my reply. Immortals continue to hold my interest with it's supernatural, shapeshifter characters. Kim Grosso, has brought her characters to life on the pages of each novel with her creative storytelling. Hot and to hot to touch steamy romance that continue to draw the readers emotional indifferent. Each novel stands alone with mating, coupling, thrills and spills ending in rollercoaster romance. Worthy for a hot summer day and a cold drink in a hammock.

Fabelhaft. Ich verfolge diese Serie seit dem Beginn und auch diese Story ist wirklich toll. Ich warte gebannt auf das nächste Buch dieser Serie.

Loved series

WOW WOW WOW - to say I enjoyed it would be an understatement ! The story involves characters that you might not think blend together well but Kym Grosso being the fantastic writer she is weaves that spell for us & as soon as you start reading this book [like all the others she writes] you won't want to put it down. I like the way Kym Grosso can weave in some of the older characters into the new book. I'd say if you wanted to zone out for a while - pick this book !! LUV IT !!

Interesting story, Jake reclaiming his pack from an evil vampire/demon. This is the 8th book in the series and after reading 8 book I find myself skipping the endless sex that take place in each book. There is a story but too much sexual distracts from the story behind the story
