AnEasy Question
Are you making sushi?Do you want the correct stickiness?Do you want good flavor without manually mixing sugar and vinegar? If yes to any of the above, buy this stuff. Seriously it makes getting the rice the right tackiness silly easy. It's also a nice seasoning just to add to regular rice used for other dishes.Just beware not to get the open package near steaming rice repeatedly. The moisture will find it's way into the seasoning and cause it to start sticking/clumping.

Best Sushi Rice Ever!!!
This is about the best and easiest thing you can buy to get perfect tasting sushi rice when you make homemade sushi! It is so amazing (i actually didnt think it would be, but haha jokes on me:P) and I was so (happily) shocked when I tasted the rice after mixing it in, and finding it tasted just as good as real sushi, Maybe better, since I made the rice myself! I wish the price could be lower, but the quality can't be beat for this real made-in-Japan mix!But now it is gone, and there is no Asian market near me, so I use this recipe: 1 TBPS Apple-cider vinegar (should be rice-vin, but odnt have any, and it works in a pinch!), 1 TBSP Sugar, and 1 Tsp Salt. Stir these over heat until dissolved, then mix into cooked warm rice. Tastes almost good!

Good enough for government work!
For quick and dirty sushi this is the way to go. This stuff makes it easy to create sushi rice although I think it's not quite as good as making it from scratch.Start out with about 1TBS of sushinoko per cup of cooked rice. Add more the next time if you like more seasoning in your rice. I think 1TBS is perfect for me.We make a makizushi out of tuna poke that is made fresh daily and sold at the local Safeway meat department. Combine this with sriracha aioli and sushi nori to make the infamous Pokémon Roll!

Makes great rice
I have tried several other brands but I really like this one. First, the taste is right. Not too sweet, not too sour. Second, the powder formula makes for stickier rice. Some of the liquid brands make the rice balls for nigiri fall apart. The bad thing is that if you get some up your nose, it stings and makes your eyes water. (I realize that a typical person does not generally inhale sushinoko intentionally, but it is hard to avoid when you open the packet and sprinkle it on rice!) I see that it says to use the whole packet for 4 cups of rice- I think this measurement is for uncooked rice. You can season to taste, which is what I did the first couple times, but I find that it has a strong flavor when the rice is hot and it gets a lot weaker after it cools, so it was kind of bland unless I followed the directions.Sometimes when I am really lazy, I just make minute rice and put some of this on instead of bouillon, salt, soy, or other flavoring. Weird? Maybe. But delicious.

Easiest sushi rice flavor
Every now and then, I'll break out the short grain rice, spend the time washing and cooking it, mix up a rice vinegar/salt/sugar mix, and have actual sushi rice. But the majority of the time, I don't have nearly enough time to do that just for some rice. For lazy days, I make a bag of boil-in-a-bag jasmine rice and add a tablespoon of this powder to it, and it is SO good. I use the rice for anything after that. Throw some teriyaki chicken on top, or add a bit of soy sauce and stir fried vegetables, or just by itself as a great snack or side dish.I'm about to run out of the little bag, so I just ordered another so that I can have sushi rice flavor all the time! Highly recommend!

A Sushi Rice Necessity.
This item gives rice a certain piquant flavor that kicks the flavor up a notch. At this point, I sprinkle this powder onto every finished batch of rice that comes out of my rice cooker. I don't make sushi, but I do make rice often for the basis of many meat and vegetable dishes. This powders adds flavor, pure and simple. I would, and will, reorder this item. It lasts a long time, because a small sprinkle goes a long way. If you don't like vinegar then avoid this item, which is an absolute necessity in making rice for sushi.

Makes excellent tasting sushi rice.
I just sprinkle al layer on top of the rice in the steamer and mix. Excellent tasting rice and sushi rolls. I purchase often.. I make one cup of dry rice which yields about 2.5 cups of rice. Each package of seasoning makes about 4 batches of rice or about 10 cups of cooked rice in total

I like it well enough
I like it well enough. It's not quite the same as using vinegar and sugar but it's close enough to save the time. Makes the rice a bit pricey so I just use it when I'm being extra lazy
