Retrospec Comfort-Bicycles Kinney Mixte

Bikes are really pretty but the quality is the worst I’ve seen. Ride poorly, parts break easily - and this is just with easy going flat road riding! Customer service is useless and the return policy is next to impossible.Learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere!

I loved the design of this bike, so cute and comfortable to ride. But after about 10 rides around town, the aluminum pieces on the bike started to fail. First, the left pedal sheared off, then when I took it to a bike mechanic to make the repair, the threads stripped off the crank arm, rendering it useless. I’ve reached out to customer service because this kind of material failure in two places should fall under retrospec’s warranty policy but it’s like pulling teeth to get my bike replaced or even get an intelligible response. When I bought this bike, I truly thought, ‘Wow! What an awesome company! Producing quality bikes at an affordable and accessible price!’ I even recommended them to friends, who also purchased. Now, I feel like I’ve been scammed. I’m upset and disappointed. I just want to go on a bike ride…

Good quality for the Money. Middle of the road Components (Shimano Derailleur) which matches with middle of the road cost for the Bike. Most Big box stores costing the same use cheaper components.Shipment received in excellent condition the packaging was well done and thought out. Very Good Instructions to assemble (It comes with some basic tools to do so). This was easy for me but I'm a gear head.Bought this for my wife and she has put a few hundred miles on it so far and loves it. we just got back from our 1,800 mile vacation to the Smoky Mountains and carried it on our bike rack and My wife did a lot of Riding in areas of the park that was conducive for Bike riding.
