The media could not be loaded. The cast iron tadka pan is really good and worth. It’s little big , it not only takes care of tadka alone but also can melt butter , caramelise , mini cooking can also be done . As you can see in the video the mustard is spluttering but it’s not getting scattered out side the pan. Yes the handle does get little bit hot but I guess it’s fine . And best thing is with cast iron you can switch off the flame and still it’s pretty hot to finish off the tadka . In the photo given , you can see there is no change in the oil colour, meaning it’s not turning black.

Bad finishing
ProsSize is quite big for a tadka pan.Sturdy and good built quality.ConsFinishing was bad. Lot of scratches and marks on the item. Can see the silver marks in the pics. Hence had to return.

Good quality item but…
Bought it for tadka but found that it doesn’t pour out well enough. The deep walls make this a chore. Item is good quality though and I’ll have to find alternate uses. Handle remains cool while using for tadka. May heat up on extended use. All in all, a wasted purchase for me sadly despite being a well made product.

I got this for tadka ... nd it's the best ... It fits well on the stove without tilting... Heats up fast and doesn't burn the tadka.. best part is as it's a bit deep so tempering doesn't come out .. only Con is it heats the handle as well ... If you forget and handle the handle without any gloves or oven mitt your hand will have a serious burn ... It happened to me as am used to handles with cover i forgot and touched it with bare hands ... So be careful ... If you use it for only tadka no need for seasoning always too ... I just use water and dry it ..

Very good quality and fit for purpose
I bought this specifically for a type of egg preparation and it works perfect.The handle does not get hot and the heat in the handle is dissipated easily.The size is perfect for one or two portions.It is sturdy and heavy and retains heat for long time.
