This is a magnificently beautiful mug! I am returning it because I won't use it:The handle is uncomfortable and poor design in three ways:* If you hold it vertical, the tea will spill. The angle is poor design.* The wood handle at both ends is too short to get a full grip and much of the ease of holding a cup for long periods is removed by not connecting at both ends.* The wood is sharp, causing mild pain to the palm of the hand - it's uncomfortable.This design places style-statement ahead of comfort, safety or ease of use. It's a bit like high heels in this regard. I prefer functionality and comfort first, and find the typical handle style to look stylish enough.

When this mug first arrived, it was broken. I asked for a return and they sent a new one right away, and took care of the return shipping with UPS. The whole transaction was painless. I am very satisfied with their level of customer service. The new mug arrived two days after the first one. I hadn't even sent the broken one back yet. The mug is beautiful. I love the glaze.. I love the shape of the mug, and most of all, I LOVE the handle. Often mugs have horrible handles that are too small, or trap your fingers. The open design of this mug is just brilliant. It is comfortable and leaves no chance for finger trapping. Another bonus, It actually works with my coffee warmer. Most ceramic mugs don't. I always have to use my steel cup to keep my coffee hot. Not so with this mug. I sipped some tea for over an hour and the tea stayed hot. That means that the design successfully transfers the heat from the warming plate up into the cup. None of my other ceramic mugs do that. So, yeah! I love that.

Great quality and easy to clean and maintain if you drink tea often throughout the day. Arrived in a very nice gift box. I use this mug every day. Easy to hold and use. Holds about 10 ounces with the infuser. The infuser can be very hot when you remove it but that is to be expected.
