Another belter from C.N crawford!Ahhhh, this book is such great escapism, and is the exact reason why I HAVE to stop reading books before the series is complete. How am I going to wait for the next book?! HOW?I read city of thorns in one night (sleep is for the weak) and I wanted to pick it up again the moment I finished.The characters are great, the plot is intriguing and right now this book is my favourite C.N crawford book.Rowan is so easy to like, she is funny, caring, brave, loyal and always prepared with a case load of fox urine!I mean, I cant even count the times I have been caught out without it myself.Rowan struggles with anxiety, and questions her own moral compass several times throughout the book, but it's obvious that at her core she has this strong sense of right and wrong.I NEED to see more of Rowans best friend, Shai as the series progresses, I love her character!Shai has her own life going on, but manages to be there for Rowan when she is needed, and is often full of facts and good advice. We all need a Shai.And what can I say about Orion? 🤤.... that's all that needs to be said really.If you like any of C.N crawfords other works then you are going to love this too, I honestly think it might be the best yet.Get writing please woman because I NEED this next book!

Unfortunately for Rowan she appears to be the doppelgänger of the succubus Orion is set on dispatching.Once Rowan convinces Orion of her innocence he employs her as a spy and an imposter as none other than Mortana!Rowan starts to have weird visions and is played by even more nightmares than normal, what’s going on? Can she survive the trials and fool everyone into believing she is the last remaining Lilu or is she doomed to meet her fate in the demon fire? this was a good read! Burned through it in one sitting, pun intended.Next please!4⭐️

First of I don't do spoilers... So...Once again these authors have selected the literary menu mixed a baked this story into the perfect starter. I didn't see the connection between the characters turning out as they did. Always keeping me up. A few times women by my kindle hitting the floor or worst my nose as I tried keeping my eyes open to carry on reading. Sit back enjoy and try limiting you reading time.. If you can. Totally recommend. Good news the full series is out.

The novel has potential, just wished it has more happening. I kind of feel like it was rushed in revealing certain things. Won't give away spoilers but certain revelations could have been revealed better

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book and I absolutely loved Rowan and Orion. I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings for their story

The characters in this book are just brilliant. Laugh out loud comments throughout, great world building and I loved the flow of the story, I was instantly hooked and devoured the book in 1 day...and swiftly began book 2 in the series!

I think I’ve read the majorly of C.N Crawfords books, they are very addictive and give you all the feels! So I was keenly waiting City of thorns and it did not disappoint!! It had just the right about of Umf. The romantic scenes are playful and strong but no too much to quickly! Captivating plot and I even laughed out loud a few times, especially in the first few chapters. Now if you know me this doesn’t happen often! Brilliant.Really enjoying the characters so far and want to continue their the journey into their world.

More smut pls but love the plot so far, excited for next book I am hooked. On to the next one!

Yup, I like dark intrigue. This was a fun read. I’m really looking forward to reading the next one. Great characters.

Far Crate has a beautiful special edition for pre-order -which is how I learned of it in the first place.If you're like me you're wondering about spice.It's sexy throughout, make no mistake, but only 1 🔥scene, but I expect that to grow throughout the series. We shall see, it kept my interest even without the spice.
