This purchase was not a wise one. Maybe a got the "dog in the bunch".I was looking for a higher end wind-up clock for my bedside, but instead got a clock that could not make a whole night without stopping. It now is in a drawer. I can't bear to throw it away after spending so much money on it.I won't be buying another product like this.

An excellent alarm clock wished its size would be slightly larger than the current size

First, almost $90 is a lot for a wind up alarm clock, but I read good things about this, and I need something loud to get me up and going, so I decided to try it. I'm hoping mine was just a lemon, but wow, there were multiple things wrong with it! First, the materials seem solid, and the alarm bells are indeed loud, which is great! But here's a list of the flaws, from minor to major:-the snooze button on my model is permanently crooked. Still works, but sloppy installation!-the glow-in-the-dark hands and numbers are so dim, they're basically useless, especially more than 5 minutes after shutting the light off.-the rear plate, which contains all the adjustment knobs, is almost completely unreadable. I can tell there are markings etched into the metal to indicate what each knob does, but the black paint is so thick, it has all but filled in these etchings. This makes winding and setting the time and alarm a game of trial and error. Very frustrating!!-While winding the clock, if it's wound too tightly, it simply won't work. The clock freezes, and only starts after a few taps on the side or knocks against a table. This makes winding it very stressful because I don't want to wind it all the way, but still enough that it will last at least 24 hours!-No matter how I adjusted things, the clock runs between 5-15 minutes fast each day. If I don't readjust the time for 3 days in a row, suddenly it's 45 minutes ahead!-And the final straw, for two nights now, the clock has simply stopped ticking and failed to sound the alarm! I missed my dentist appointment today because of it. After a vigorous shake, it starts ticking again, but it's obviously unreliable and unacceptable for any clock, especially a $90 one.I so wanted this product to be better :/

The clock is malfunctioning in less than 2 months after receiving it!! It stops after a few hours. I woulkd expoect a lot better for $85.00.

Built with old world care. Quality materials, quality construction. It costs a lot more than Chinese models, but i think it's worth it... Plus, it's a cool retro modern design.
