I will say the quality of the casket was as the picture, we did the higher end with lacquer finish with expedited (+$200) shipping. I didn't fine inspect the casket, however, in general at the viewing and funeral it looked fine, sturdy and pretty much what the picture shows.Now there was stress because we really needed it to be there within the two business days, which they did deliver, but there was worry it wouldn't make it (COVID environment especially). If you have a "must" date because of all the other planning, it really is scary and maybe getting one from the funeral home might be better for peace of mind (though it might be double cost for a similar casket).Also, there were some scuffs on the lid that the funeral director noticed when his people opened the crate. Maybe a strap when it was moved in the crate? Fortunately, they were able to buff the scuffs and it wasn't noticeable (and most of the time, no one could see it even if it was. You'll also have to be willing to run the risk of some damage and accept it as-is or risk having to figure out how to get a replacement at the last minute, and then deal with returns (which I can't see to be an easy thing).Fortunately, it all worked out and they did deliver (with minor blemishes), but you'll have to ask is the stress worth the savings? It is a good alternative though for those of modest means and leaves more for the loved ones.

The death of a close family member was expected and the sellers could not have been more cooperative. I ordered the casket two days prior to her death since Thanksgiving was the next day and she actually died the following Friday. They worked with the funeral home to have the casket arrive as quick as possible due to the shipping problems that would occur around the holiday. The cost savings were to be honest ridiculous. My Mother had wanted a mahogany casket and the local funeral home wanted $9700.00 plus sales tax for an equivalent casket. We decided to have her shipped to a funeral home in the town of her birth for burial close to her other family members and the funeral home in her home town was even willing to store the casket prior to her death if she did not expire as soon as was anticipated. I would again purchase from the seller and I would also encourage anyone to price out the funeral when you are not upset at the recent loss of your loved one. If we had used the local funeral home in our town and purchased the casket from them the funeral would have easily cost $15000 to $20000. We were able to have a dignified funeral for about $7500 since we planned things when we were not emotional. My best wishes to anyone at this time and hope you have someone who can keep emotions under control to plan the funeral. Every family needs one person who is capable of this task.

I’m in between castles and I needed a coffin that was lighter for traveling between locations. Let me tell you that no sunlight gets through when the lid is closed. Not even a tiny bit! And that’s reallllly important if you’ve got a major sensitivity to sunlight like me. Oh, and if has little compartments that you can use to store the soil of your homeland (you’re not getting very far without that LOL). It’s a very eco-friendly option since I don’t have to keep using plastic bags to haul dirt around in. Plastic is sooooo bad for the environment and it’s a huge plus that you can just leave the soil inside without having to worry about whether your minions remembered to pack it! I’m gonna save a ton of $$$ on Zip-Lock bags. The Amazon driver delivered it pretty late at night (works for me!) and helped to get it set up! What service. I feel bad that Amazon lost such a dedicated employee (good help is really hard to find these days) but it’s hard to pass up a snack before bed. My only complaint is that there wasn’t a red-velvet interior option. I def would have paid more for it. I almost forgot, this really only fits one undead person so if you’re planning on having company over it’s gonna be a real tight fit (that’s what she said!).

This is a great location to decompose alone and its very dark, could use some LED and soround sound but in all the purchase could've been cheaper sometimes I wish I could've just suffered and saved two thousand dollars!

This is a comfortable nap pod. Coworkers looked at me funny when I brought it in but it’s their loss.Very dark and sound proof though. Needs a lighting option.
