This book serves as a great reference, directing the reader to the works which both define Stoicism and intersect the Christian faith.

Good summary of main Stoic teachings and principles and how they were adopted and assimilated by early Christian fathers to promote the faith.

Stoic history and biblical facts are on point. Very educational and worth the read. But it should be noted In the description (which it’s not), author is a deep Catholic and most of the topics are rooted in Catholicism rather than unbiased Christ-centered topics. Just fyi. Still worth the read and very educational.

The book did a great job giving at giving insights to multiple philosophers and sharing how it can relate to Christianity. Highly recommend the book.

I'm Catholic, I became interested and intrigued with Stoic "Fathers" and stoicism in general. I started reading Marcus Aurelius and some YouTube videos and saw several videos where Kevin Vost was the guest. I knew about this book through those videos. Read it, easy, simple (as in not complicated explanations) and even great as guide to read The Stoics... Recommended 100%
