I purchased these for a Holistic Health Fair as a free Giveaway. Everyone really loved them. Good size, good color, nice pattern. Great purchase.

I got 5 Lapis lazuli rocks. I teach science in middle school so I bought this to show my students how amazing metamorphic rocks can be. I can't wait to show them these and the raw lapis lazuli rocks I bought!

It's very pretty sodalite, but it's not lapis. Sodalite is one of the key minerals in lapis as is calcium. The sodalite gives it the stone's pretty blue, calcite striations make up the white veins visible in lapis and sodalite.The main difference is that lapis has deposits of pyrite, which adds gold flecks in the stone while sodalite often contains either granite or orange feldspar (present in my samples), but no pyrite.The last image shows a piece that I smashed to see inside. No pyrite flecks whatsoever, just calcite and feldspar.Another difference is that lapis is completely opaque while sodalite is somewhat translucent, like these samples.They're easily confused, so I don't suspect they misnamed these intentionally. They're used pretty interchangeably for your chakra stuff, so that's fine. But, if you're needing lapis specifically or if you're a strict purist... This ain't it.EDIT: I did find some pyrite in a couple of the samples, but it's not very much at all. So maybe you'll get luckier than I did.

I was expecting a very vibrant indigo color on these stones. They were more grayish blue than a lapis lazuli blue.

I got amethyst and lapis lazuli… the size and quality of the stones is decent.Amethyst - half of them were nice. The other half were so dark, I don’t see any purple tone to them at all.Lapis Lazuli - I’m not sure this is lapis lazuli. I don’t see any of the golden metallic bits lapis usually has from the pyrite in it… I think this may be sodalite. It’s usable for me because I was mainly getting it for throat chakra work. But definitely doesn’t seem like it is what it claims to be. Also, like the amethyst some were very dark almost black but only a couple.

The media could not be loaded.  I've passed out these two friends and clients and coworkers and truly I love them that they're able to fit in the palm of your hand. They're great for protection crystals. If you were hesitant stop being hesitant, go get them now.🫶
