Tide Optics Split Diopter Filter 77mm - Prism Camera Lens Threaded Filter

I have brought this filter along on a holiday with me to Africa and I can say that it’s a pretty nifty filter. In my opinion, this filter gives off a cool but cinematic look to your photos. The split part of the lens gives you a blurry but soft foreground if you’re taking portraits, but either way you turn it, it gives a cool effect. The filter simply screws onto your lens making it easy to use. As a whole, this lens performs well for creative portraits and cool travel photos.

Does not come with a pouch or cloth. I don’t mind that it doesn’t- just don’t mislead buyers.Be aware that if you want your background to be in focus, you need to stop down thus creating quite a hard line between the close up object and the background. I don’t recall the line being quite a a defined with the Cokin version I used to have.

After wanting a bit more creativity in my images, I discovered Tide Optics and ordered this split diopter filter.It was a lot of fun to use and now will be part of my essential kit!The build quality is great and is definitely value for money.I've left a couple of shots with and without filter.Tide Optics will be definitely be my first stop for filters and can't recommend them enough.
