Leviton T5833-I Type A & Type-C USB In-Wall Charger with 20A Tamper-Resistant Outlet, USB Charger for Smartphones and Tablets. Not for Laptops, Ivory

I purchased these to replace some older USB outlets because the manufacturers have now made USB-C the standard. Still having some older USB devices, I found these with both charging outlets and installed them as replacements. They are large and require space for installing them. They do work well and I have not been disappointed. I find Leviton electrical products to be very well made and would say most of my electrical outlets and switches in my house are Leviton. I used to do electrical work and could always count on the brand for quality.

Now I will say these outlets are not for the stingy... they are expensive. They are also hard to work with as they take up some space in the electrical boxes. With that said, I'm happy I purchased 4 of these outlets for my family room as I often have guests and now with COVID my family with many devices from school and home. The nice thing about these outlets is that they save me from plugging in charging blocks, etc. Both with USB-C and USB-A they accommodate old school and new school. I even ordered 2 more after these to put them in my garage (put grey ones there). My brother-in-law that works at a home improvement store has been eyeing them for a while along with my brother who is an electrician. Only thing keeping them from buying these is the price... to me I'm in technology so I really appreciate them and will forgo the extra cash. When it comes down to it, is it worth it or not? Depends on how many devices and people you have in your house - but we are always looking or a place to charge things - but not anymore! :)

I purchased these for an electrical project I was doing. I installed these in my pavilion because of the phone charger plugs. The kids are constantly charging there phones and would unplug whatever I had plugged in. Problem solved! You can’t beat the quality of Leviton products. I would definitely recommend these receptacles!

This outlet is very easy to install with reusable back stab capability. The outlet takes up more area in the electrical box due to the size, so you will need to take more time to fit the wires and outlet into the electrical box. I would suggest not using this outlet for a slim box, however, it is just fine for a standard box depth and if you can plan ahead, an extra deep box makes it easier.

Had 2 cheap ones sent and both had problems. Spent the $$ on this and no problems.

The unit itself is nice, but despite what the pictures show, it does NOT come with the wall plate, unlike other units.You have to click on the "See more product details" link to see where it mentions the plate is not included.This means the unit is even more expensive - it's already a lot more expensive than the competition for what appears to be the same feature set.

Is so nice but to have to keep track of my USB chargers, especially note that nearly everything uses them. The USC-C option on this is great, as more and more devices use that standard. I had a professional electrician install them during a retrofit, so I can’t speak to how difficult it is to install on your own.I’ve seen similar products offered for less, but many of the reviews speak of a whine or noise emitting from them. The electrician said this is good prefers brand, and so far, so good. No noise, and everything works great.

Fantastic idea to swap the outlets near the sofa and kitchen island. Huge space saver. Now the outlets can accept appliances again. Viva

In this era where we charge everything, this socket is extremely practical. Pay attention to the amperage, 15 or 20A, depending on where you want it and taking into account your local building code.

Works as expected.

I love(d) this product now that it's installed, but I had to replace my standard single gang box to a larger one to make this fit. Once I did that I had no problems. I haven't measured charging time.UPDATE: The c-usb has stopped charging on this. I have no idea why, or why it would be even vulnerable to stopping, but it has, and it's very disappointing, considering the price of this item.
