Horse Oil is like Emu Oil. It's from an animal (yep, horse. Good guess!) So....if you are vegetarian or vegan or a I-don't-eat-my-pets-or-those-of-other-people then skip this cream and this review but hit a plus for helping understand what NOT to buy.The fat on a horse is very dense and thick but there isn't a lot of it normally. Horses for meat use are fattened but horses in general have low fat muscles and just do not become Waygyu Cheval (if this is making you squeamish, I told you skip this review already.) So horse oil is expensive.In Mongolia and China, animal fats such as mutton fat and horse fat, as well as the cream from donkey milk have been used for face creams for millennia. The Manchu (who were friendly with the Mongols) washed their face with melted muttonfat (sheeps tail fat) and they used a moisturizing cream from donkey milk and pounded orange peel. The climate in Northern China and Mongolia is harsh windy dry and cold, and the fats are highly protective of the skin.Horse oil (like sheep tail fat) is high in unsaturated fatty acids which are naturally compatible with skin.Very rich eye cream. Summary; if you have no objection to horses already being used as food animals (traditional in that part of the world) the oil is very helpful.

Here's a good eye cream that is rich in moisturization that holds up through the day. It's a bit thicker and creamier feeling than many other eye creams, yet is just thin enough to be able to absorb into the delicate skin around your eyes. It spreads easily. Though feeling rich and creamy, it does not leave your skin feeling oily or greasy. Once it sets, which it does somewhat quickly, it still has a certain texture that feels as though your eyes are being protected with a barrier cream.Very little scent. Softens skin quite well and diminishes fine lines. Makes my eyes look good.
