Salt Water Sandals by Hoy Shoe Sharks

I would size up in these.

My granddaughter has worn this brand for years and they are the best for summer, beach trips, pool, etc. Ordered a pair for my grandson and although I ordered the wrong size and had to return, will definitely order again in the next size. Love the closed toe so stubbed toes are not a problem! Great product that will last even after they outgrow them.

These particular sun-sans run very small. We were just coming out of a 5 (still wearing some). I went ahead and ordered a 6 in these and our toes are at the end a month later. They are also a bit tight width wise and my son does not have a wide foot. I recommend going up an extra size for sure maybe even 2.

These sandals were long enough for my almost-3 yr old boy who wears a size 8 in other shoes. But the were not wide enough. His feet are still a little bit chubby--like baby feet--and so I could barely get these sandals on him and then the immediately cut into the sides of his foot leaving a mark and looking very uncomfortable. I ordered up a size, and the 9 is working well for him.It's possible that with an older child you could "break in" the 8 and it would have worked. I just can't really gauge my 2 yr old's level of comfort or discomfort well enough to try that. --so that is why I opted to just go up a size.Other than the width issue, I love these sandals. Cute style, classic little boy, love that they can go in and out of water, and they seem comfy. My son asked to wear them today after wearing them for the first time all day yesterday. I bought a similar pair for my 4 yr old daughter as well.

These sandals are very cute. I found the leather to be soft too. While reading reviews a few people complained about how the shoe stuck their child at various points on the foot. Biggest issue my two old daughter is currently a size 7 but her foot would not sit completely in the shoe when I tried it on.To make matters worse she did not want me to take the sandals off lol. I'm glad to know that she likes the sandal but I had to send them back and order a size 8. She wore them to church and they fit so much better leaving her a little room at the toe. My daughter did not complain at all about the point on the front of the sandal or the heel. Its a very nice sandal and Amazon was really great in sending me out a new sandal as well as adjusting the shipping...Thanks Amazon!

I’m not confident these are genuine salt water sandals. They were almost impossible to get on my sons foot.

some reviews said that they had to buy larger because of how the heel area sort of jets back, so we did this. kinda wish we hadn't. our son has medium width feet with none of his baby fat left on them. these shoes are quite a bit bigger than what I would normally purchase for our 3yr old son. their size appears to run exactly the same as the traditional style saltwater sandal. had I known that for sure, I'd have purchased a size smaller. He loves them and wants to wear them everyday!also, several mentions of the little tip on the top strap kinda poking into kiddos ankles. in anticipation of that being a possible issue, I literally dampened that area with a little water & bent, squished, and twisted it to try to break them in before he would be wearing them full time. we haven't had an issue. so maybe it worked?they are a good looking shoe for a boy to wear on a daily basis. I highly recommend them.

These sandals are very cute...a couple of things though...the point that's at the center of the top strap digs into my sons ankle a bit. After wearing them shoes for a little while he starts complaining and when you take them off there is a mark there. Hoping this gets better as they wear. Also, Hoy usually runs half a size big. My son is a 5, so a Hoy 5 (fitting like a 5.5) should have been plenty of room. However, the back part of the sandal is angled so far forward that it pushed my sons big toe out the front of the shoe. We returned them and got the size 6 which fits just fine (but definitely more like a 5 or 5.5 should fit). Normally I tell people to order down with this brand, but on this style show, because of the angle of the heel, I have to say it may be better to order up.

Great sandals for my 9 year old - super fit, comfy. Great for school and beach alike, plus they look great!

I bought the same sandals from the store in the same size but the ones in the store only have one back strap, whereas these ones have a kind of netting and a much tighter fit on the back strap, even in the loosest position. I don't know if it is another year's model or why they should be different, but they didn't fit on my son, or even on my friend's son, who has smaller feet. I would almost go 2 sizes higher than normal, or perhaps not buy children's shoes online like any reasonable human being probably already knows.
