Poro-Klean stainless steel filter elements are formed from porous sheet stock produced from sintered powdered stainless steel. The sintering process, performed in a controlled atmosphere furnace, produces a strong metallurgical fusion with each stainless steel "bead" securely bonded at several points of contact. Properties such as porosity, pore distribution and uniformity of material thickness are accurately controlled. Elements can be cleaned chemically, ultrasonically, or by backflushing, and reused.
