Nikon D3300 For Dummies

Written very clearly and has excellent illustrations. Best manual I've ever encountered for any digital device. If you have or plan to acquire a used Nikon D3300, this will be invaluable.

Very good book for those of us that are new to using this Nikon D3300 camera. It gives you great tips and hints to do things fast and get the optimized use out of your camera. This books puts things into simpler terms and give you diagrams to go off of. There are many features that I wouldn't know how to use on this camera if I wouldn't have had this book. There are certain terms that normal people do not know when it comes to digital cameras and it is nice to have a whole guide on how to use everything, even the proper terms for certain aspects of the camera.Over all this book is easy to read, easy to understand, and super easy to follow! Would recommend to anyone tha tis new to this type of camera!

Love this book, easy to understand and learned how to get more out of my camera

This book explains well the features and uses of this sophisticated camera. Four decades ago, I was a fairly proficient amateur user of an SLR film camera. However, I had gotten away from using sophisticated cameras. I have been using "point and shoots" since then. Recently, I longed to return to good photography, and I bought the Nikon D3300. I have bought two books to help me get into the technology I have bought. This is the better of the two. It explains things basically, and it is designed to allow you to enter any part of the book and understand what you are reading. In other words, I repeats things it has discussed previously, rather than either assuming you read the earlier section or referring you back to it. That may be a bit irritating if you read it straight through, but you can easily skim through the repetition you remember reading.This book explains the features well and well-describes how to use them to best effect. I recommend it for someone who wants to learn how to use the features of this sophisticated camera. If you are an advanced user, (1) you do not need this book, and (2) you should not buy this entry-level DSLR camera.

The manual is instructive and very readable, but I will NEVER buy again from INDOO BOOKS or any vendor who uses DHL-USA.Use them at you won risk if you like scant information and incomprenensible delays!

Great price and great condition with a far price.

I find this book very helpful with the large print, illustrations, and color photos. While much of the material is in the owners manual, this book is larger and easier to read. The print in the owners manual is much smaller. For me, it is worth $20 to get up and running quickly, with a good understanding of what can be accomplished with the camera.Update: After going through the first chapter, I wish it was spiral bound so the book would stay open as you refer back and forth from the book to the camera. It won’t stay open by itself.

I absolutely love this book. It's so informative and helpful for someone used to a plain point & shoot camera. I wanted to learn more about photography, snf after great research settled on the D3300. Then, after I got the camper I was completely overwhelmed with all the features. While it has a great auto feature, I wanted to learn everything about it to take amazing pics of my grandchildren. This book, doesn't disappoint. It teaches you everything you need to know about the camera. How to utilize all its features, learn about lighting etc & what type of extras or optional equipment you may want in the future. Well written, easy to read and understand, snf I am so thankful I got it!!

This book is a must for anyone who has bought the Nikon D3300. It helps so much to understand the numerous features and functions of this fantastic Nikon. I'm reading the book little by little to make the pleasure last longer and to keep knowledge more embedded in my mind. Highly recommended.

Excellent and extremely clear. This book is particularly good if you are new to photography generally but will perhaps also introduce you to the Nikon interface if this manufacturer is new to you.I have used this book beginning photography for the first time and it couldn't be clearer to understand. It is well laid out broken out into Parts, with each Part having a set of related chapters. As a beginner, the author is great at reminding you quickly about the steps needed to change basic functions on the camera throughout the book even if she has covered the subject in dept in earlier chapters. This saves having to continually flick back to check/remember how to perform or change a particular function. This is extremely handy.The book is packed full of colourful illustrations, diagrams and snapshots of the camera menus so you can quickly follow the instructions. The instructions themselves are laid out clearly in bold, with normal text underneath explaining what each step does. I cannot fault this and highly recommend this book to beginners who are starting out on this entry level DSLR camera.

Great book for learning all of your cameras functions. I never recommend using just one source of information though. There are loads of videos online to also help you on your journey.
