WET THE RUBBER SEAL AND YOU WON'T HAVE LEAKS GUARANTEE!!
I have both the half gallon and 1 gallon jugs. They are great bullet proof jugs. I'll give a tip for the the leaking trend problem that almost everyone has with the rubber seal on the lid. Seals need to be moist, wet, lubricated, however you want to say it. What I do is take my finger wet it with water and run it ALL THE WAY AROUND the rubber seal. I do this 2 to 3 times to make sure the rubber seal is thourghly wet. Then I tighten the lid on, and loosen it up (you don't take the lid completely off, just loosenit where it has free play in the theaded part.) I do this 2 to 3 times. 1 TIME WON'T DO. 2 times the least, 3 times the most. Then tightened it all the way. It seems complicated, but it's a small procedure you need to do so you can transport your water, beverages, ect. Safety without leaks GUARANTEE. I have at first use it as a dry seal and it leaked on me once. Plus when you wet the seal it's a little easier to take off than dry seal.My half gallon has gotten more field use than my 1 gallon cause I bought it first. I dropped the thing a couple of times and accidentally Hit it on those yellow metal or concrete poles at stores, without a dent and it was hard to. I keep the 1 gallon in the car, the half gallon comes where I go. But they hold the same temperature that the water comes out of the ground, all day long (no ice). No matter how cold or hot my car can get. They are well worth the investment if you are gone all day long at work or where ever. I also get alot of comments from others say " that's a nice jug".

Totally overkill... in a good way.
I have several sizes of water bottles and such and this is just the hugest version of it. I had the 1/2 gallon version of it and my GF stole it to use as a yogurt maker (works awesome for that BTW)... so as the replacement for that loss, I got this one and it's perfect. So, yeah.... all of the YETI stuff: keels the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold... blah blah blah.... if you need a ton of water for a team of people out on a job site or if you're lazy like me and you don't wanna get up all the time to refill your water glass, this is your new beast friend. HAHA!! Enjoy!

Yay for Yeti! Ice for days- literally!
I must say my gut clenched when I hit confirm for this because of the price. But my hubby spends hours in the field in the heat during harvest and the 1 & 2 qt jugs u can find weren’t enough. There was almost no choices for a gallon except for the very pricey (gulp) Yeti, and maybe some other random things that wudnt do. Yeti passed the test with flying colors! We’d load it with ice and water in the morning- and after spending hours either on the hot floor (engine heat?) of our little semi or in the combine- even if the ice was gone at the end of the day the water was still ice cold! We filled it two days ago to go for a picnic. It spent at least 7-8 hrs in very warm conditions. Came home and left it. 48 hours exactly from first filling it (and we had opened it to drink as is evidenced by the amnt in the pic) there was still decent sized ice chunks left! Amazing. If this thing lasts us for a long time I think I’ll be able to say it was worth the price- although seriously $129 (approx????) is plenty no matter the quality. That’s my only complaint. The magnetic holder to set ur lid on is very strong- so no excuses for losing that lid!!!!

Most Useful Purchase I've Ever Made
Before buying this product more than three years ago, I was drinking from plastic water bottles or refilling plastic gallon jugs of water. Despite the gallon jugs being HDPE, I started to notice a stinging in my throat from the plastic degrading or something after dozens of refills. Then came along this purchase, and it has been nothing short of perfect. It's easy to clean, easy to drink from (once you figure out a way to hold it, and assuming you don't mind the funny looks you get), and keeps water cold for an incredible length of time. From a full refill with a layer of ice cubes on top, the rambler kept the water ice cold for as long as it took for me to drink it all, around 18 hours. Mind you, it was a good bit of ice, but also the sheer size of the rambler allows it to have a large vacuum-insulated space surrounding it, which is how it keeps things so cold.I cannot comment on how it performs for hot beverages or stews or that kind of thing, as I've only ever used it for cold water.Cleaning is a breeze as the large mouth of the rambler with its lid removed is more than sufficient to reach my whole hand and arm inside. One thing I've found a little tricky to clean are the threads of the screw-on lid for the spout. Soaking it a little and then scraping with a paper towel seems to do the trick well enough though. And for anyone who has trouble getting the whole top off of the rambler (believe me, I did too for quite a while), a good trick is to get it on the counter at chest height, wrap your right arm around the steel body of it, then put your left hand on the vertical part of the handle, thumb at the top at the rubber grip, and the rest of your left hand's fingers nearer the handle's screw. Then pull your left hand leftwards while your right hand/arm keeps the body of the jug stationary. The lid should come off with some force applied.

Awesome
At first i was saying "its way over priced" and it kinda is, but its super durable and its been keeping my water cold and ice still ice for days at a time.I work in construction here in Hawaii where the suns hot and you NEED to drink a lot of water, this thing does exactly what i need it to do, to keep my water ice cold everytime i drink from it. Ive seen other jugs on the job sites ive been on and you see a lot of cracked covers, broken handles, and a lot of dented ones. So far its been taking the abuse well(i do take care of my stuff). Magnet on the top to hold the cap is awesome and super strong, love it.I have read before i bought this that its hard to take of the lid, yes it is hard sometimes but if your a man it shouldn't be so hard where you cant get it off lol

It’s HUGE
It’s a YETI, the product is top of the line. This image is for size reference. I stood it next to a speaker and it’s just as big as the speaker.
