Parts Club Replacement Recoil Starter for Honda 28400-ZE3-W01 for Gx340 Gx390 GX610 11hp 13hp 18HP Generator Parts

My son broke the one on my Husqvarna pressure washer. I tried repairing it but I decided to just get this. It fit perfectly and worked right away.

Bought this for a Honda GC 160 engine. It seems there are different offerings of the same product from different vendors. I assume these are all coming out of the same factory. Like others have mentioned if you want to use the metal sleeves which are on your engine you do have to drill out the holes to make them bigger. I guess not a big deal. Also where the cord comes out of the recoil starter, it is not in the same position as the original one. Again, I guess not a make or break deal. I did not price the original Honda replacement, but I would suggest probably about 3 times what I paid for this. Have not tested long term, so hopefully it will last for awhile.

Our GC160 recoil was damaged by an impact from a careless toss of a piece of firewood. This motor runs a log splitter and the push is on to get wood split and stacked for the coming winter. After reading how many people had problems with holes not lining up, etc, I was a bit anxious about this part but was really surprised by how perfectly it fit the motor. No drilling out holes or misalignment issues at all, the part literally was bolt on and go back to work. Very happy with this one.

We had to drill the holes to be a little bigger but after that we put it on the pressure washer and it worked!

Very easy to instal, and works as it should, but in my application where my handle is pulled back to my handlebar it makes a screeching sound. Absolutely annoying.This is probably only because it's pulled back to the handlebar pull cord holder while running. Not sure I'd recommend it in that type of mount. 3/10Normal just pull from the engine.no idea/10Good day,Mr2
