this thing is a great deal for what it is capable of doing
So, this thing is a great deal for what it is capable of doing. My skill is not at the point where I want to spend 400 on a razertip however, it is soooo much better than the 40 dollar pen I had been using. I can wood burn 3 times faster! The two pens is nice too, however, I rarely need both tips because these pens heat up and cool super fast. The only thing that disappointed me with this kit is that, with all the tips it comes with, it does not come with a ball point tip or a ink transfer tip. I would order the tips however the company doesn't offer these tips and you cant use tips from different companies because they will not fit. All in all, I absolutely love this kit and am very happy with my purchase. Just know that if those are tips you are really looking forward to, this is not the kit for you.

Worst machine ever
Purchased this machine just over a week ago. First machine I got didn’t work right. When I turned the knob to change the temp it would make the temp jump from 20 to 50 and ext. so returned it and got a new one hoping the problem would be fixed. Nope second machine does the same thing and in the middle of me writing something on wood the temp with lower and then shoot back up. I DONOT recommand this machine.

Excellent pro burner but, easy enough to use for everyone.
This product is absolutely amazing. It is so versatile and easy to use. You can switch back and forth between the two pens with the flip of a switch.It is fully heated up in approximately 15 sec and ready to use... even at the highest setting.I burn mostly on leather and bone but, have also used it on cork and wood.No tools needed to switch out the tips. If you are going to use it on the highest setting for an extended period of time, I highly suggest getting a protective glove, because it gets very hot.Love this tool!

Some examples of what I've done with the Tektree Pyro pens
I was using a low end pyro pen...it was nice but I quickly realized its limitation and the time it took to finish a piece was too long. Couldn't wait to get this was using it as soon as it came.... Amazing tool and craftsmanship! Well worth the money and for a lot less than the competition. Can't say enough!!

High quality, low price
I tried my wood burning tool today and couldn’t be happier. Prior to buying this unit I used a low-price wood burner that was the equivalent of a soldering gun. The Techic was simple to set up. The instruction manual is very clear and easy to understand. The hand tools heat up quickly and cool down quickly. The quality of the pens is excellent. It came with an excellent supply of different tips. I bought this product for the low price and the favorable reviews on Amazon. Add me to the list of happy customers. The only question is one for the future . . .longevity. Time will tell, but at least at the outset this is a very high quality wood burning tool for an excellent price.

Good Chose
We bought this as a gift for our daughter. She likes the way it heats up and cools off quickly. She said she has more control of the pen since you can grip it lower that the craft wood burning pen she has.

Pyrography kit exceeded my expectations.
Received in a foam lined box that provided excellent shipping protection. The Amazon picture is exactly what was in the box. The tips are easy to change out and heat up to temperature very quickly. There is a calibration screw that allows the low voltage to be easily set. The display shows voltage and it takes only a short time to determine a good voltage reading to properly adjust the tip temperature. The handles don't heat up so they should be comfortable to hold for long periods of use. I contacted the company with a question and got a fast curious response in the email exchanges. They were eager an helpful addressing questions. If I needed to buy this again I would do so without hesitation.
