Recently learning I have arthritis, I found this book informative. I had a lot of questions regarding caring for my body, foods to eat or avoid and pain relief. This book answered my questioins.

Your typical eat and live right message. It is so simple yet so hard. We get what we ask for. Pain can be prevented or lessened.

Important information for arthritis
I recently learned that I have degenerative arthritis and was told the only fix is hip replacement. I accept that may be the case, but I can’t have it done for several months and the severe pain was ruining my life. My doctor prescribed a pain killer, and then another - neither helped with the pain at all and I knew they were going to cause other problems eventually so I realized I needed to find another way. This book changed my life. I understand what causes my pain (inflammation) and have learned how to manage it thru food, movement, mindfulness and supplements. I learned which exercises can help, which has been difficult because so many things hurt. I learned the best sleeping position and much more. Some of the chapters just teach you about available options (like QiGong or the Sedona method) but you need to go find out more about them on your own - easy enough with Google! I actually appreciate that the “how to” isnt entirely spelled out because it helps me take more responsibility for my own recovery and body. I read this on Kindle but purchased a hard copy because it is such import information. I want to be able to share with my adult children when they need it.

The author learned all this by trial and error, himself.
A lot of painstaking research went into this book but it doesn't all work. The point where the many philosophies meet and work is based on knowing where the nerve junctions are in the body. It doesn't matter whether you follow Eastern philosophy or Western anatomy, the useful facts are a diet which is strong on anti-inflammatories, scant in saturated fat and sugars and exercise based on tried and true physical therapies to keep joints moving and the muscles warmed up. He is on target about relaxing so stress does not harm the body and the brain which governs it. It's an honest book but reads more like a summary about all the ideas in good journals and health magazines. He needed to add acupressure and cautions about the side effects of some herbs like ginger, which blocks serotonin.

Excellent Source for Arthritis Rehabilitation
Easy read. Comprehensive. Yoga is simple to follow and works. Goal planning and achievement applies to whole life recovery.Nutrients and body movement plan excellent.I have suffered with arthritis pain for eight years.This book sums up the best of treatment I have received from medical practitioners to arthritis yoga professionals. Wonderful.

Simple, well-explained and well-researched ideas for lessening the impact of arthritis on our daily activities as we age. So important for everyone to read!! I really appreciate hhe emphasis on natural approaches with minimal use of medications/pills. This is a book that takes time to read as I am incorporating the ideas/suggestions one at time - so it is a manual for education which I am sure I will continued to read and refer to for years to come

Looking to Reverse Myself
I chose 4 stars because I have not yet started the course and do not know whether it will be successful. I am preparing for it now and will start it soon. I have positive expectations that I will be successful at which time my rating would rise to 5 stars. Certainly the content of this book is excellent and is written by someone who has suffered this condition so I am confident of success.Mario

This seems like a much better concept to me
This book deals thoroughly with the causes of arthritis, plus treatment options. However, Mark Wiley develops his theme along a totally holistic approach and explains how arthritis delelops, so that a fuller understanding of remedial treatment can be understood. Whilst conventional medicine treats the symptoms, Wiley helps us to root out the causes. This seems like a much better concept to me. Once you know the reasons why something has happened, you can make changes and adjustments to combat and reverse the problem, restoring the body to its normal function.Wiley's holistic approach is a slower methodical one, which relies on the diligence of the reader. It does, however, offer the real prospect of permanently easing arthritic pain and reversing degeneration, rather than masking the symptoms by blocking pain with pharmaceutical drugs, with all their attendant side-effects. The book is written in an informative way, based on many years of in-depth knowledge. Wiley himself was crippled with arthritis but successfully reversed it, once he understood the causes.If you are looking for a quick fix to your arthritic pain then just keep taking the pharma poison. But if you really want to sort out your health issue from the ground up and transform your life, then read this book and follow the advice. It not only guides you how to correct your body chemistry but deals seriously with the very relevant aspect of mind-set imprinting. He reveals foods to avoid and foods that are good, plus diet suggestions. The book should be read with honesty and patience. It does not offer a quick fix - after all, it has taken you many years to get to the stage of discomfort that you are now at. It offers the route to reversing a lifetime of mental and chemical conflict that has eventually culminated in your body showing the horrid symptoms of arthritis.You owe it to yourself to read this book.

a must read for Arthritis sufferers! My husband followed the guide lines and within 3 days he was feeling much less pain! He is hopeful he will not have to live in constant pain!

worth reading
As a sufferer of Arthritis in my knee and hip, I was very interested to read what I can safely do on my own to improve it’s I really don’t want surgery so stopping any further damage is my first target.
