Windproof: CHECK!Waterproof: 95% CHECK!Comfortable: 88% CHECK!WARM: CHECK!I first took these hiking pants on a walk as the remnants of Hurricane Ian (2022) came through the area. The pants got soaked, and it did feel like some of the water got through the seams just above the knees after about 30 minutes of being rained on. It was very lightly damp though, only around the seams, and it kept my legs very nicely warm.I then took them on several paramotor flights in the cold, where the air temperature was 50-55ºF, and with the constant 25-30mph breeze dropped the wind chill factor to 39-44ºF. My legs stayed warmer than the rest of my body somehow! I did not feel the wind at all, but for a few times where I put my legs out so the wind was blowing up the cuff at my ankle. I don't know what "Heat Lock" is but these pants definitely deliver.I've also worn them around the house and I do not overheat, so the breathable claim seems to also be accurate -- not sure how, but I don't go inside and immediately feel the need to take them off.The zipper pockets are great. I don't love the feeling of zipper pockets when getting things in and out, but they are very functional and the zippers work well.DRAWBACKSSize (Waist): I ordered the 40x32 size. The length is great, but the waist is just barely 40" with the elastic not engaged. I wish I had ordered the 38x32, or maybe even the 36x32, as this might have fit me better. Without the belt, these would fall off me as I walked! The size chart DOES state that the 40x32 (4xl) has an unstretched waist of 42.52" so this is my fault, I should have ordered the 2xl or 3xl for my body.Belt: The belt works, but the fabric is pretty thin so it folds over on itself. It is completely functional, so no stars deducted, it just could have been better.Seams not Waterproof: I never intended to use these as waterproof hiking pants, and you probably shouldn't -- the fabric is wind and waterproof, but the seams seem not to be, at least in my testing.Overall at USD$26 these are a GREAT value, comfortable, and I now do not fly in cooler weather without them!

Crotch mis-stitched/sewn-Should have never made it to a customer
I bought these in Sept for a camping trip, tried them on, washed them, and set aside. They fit great-Wore them Thanksgiving hiking and my husband asked, “what is wrong with the crotch of those pants?” Had him take a pic and then saw the stitching was off and should have never made it to a customer through product control. I missed the return window because I bought them to be well prepared for the trip in Nov. Disappointed these were poorly made and that I missed the return window.

Buen producto

Worst zippers on planet Earth
Do you hate functional zippers? Do you choose your pants based on the UNBELIEVABLY low-quality zippers breaking from a feather touch in the first week of wearing said pants? Then these pants are PERFECT for you!The pants themselves are what I expected; no complaints there; I'd rather them 4 stars.... But I'm in that rare class of people who wants functional, at least normal quality zippers, that don't break nearly instantaneously from extraordinarily minimal usage. Therefore these pants get an EXTREMELY generous 2 stars.
