my first Solano and I love it!
Bought this one 5 months ago and was waiting to see how it works before posting something, and guess what? It's great!!! I'm able to do my own hair at home, don't feel it super hot like come other hair dryers at the beauty salon and the weight it's just fine, after using it once or twice you get used to it. This is my first Solano and gotta say I'm not disappointed. So, ready to save some money? this is a good option

Not Reliable
Went up in smoke (literally) the 7th month I owned it. What a -massive- waste of money.

The best hair dryer.
I had my last hair dryer for almost 20 years, it was a good one. So when I needed to replace it I called my salon to ask what they used. They use this brand (the lighter ones though). This was $60 less than the one they use, and I love it. I have thick long hair that used to take a long time to dry, this dryer takes less than 1/2 the time to dry my hair. So happy I spent the money on this. I hate replacing things, so I like to buy a good quality item the first time.

My black & red Solano lasted almost 10 years. ...
My black & red Solano lasted almost 10 years. This one lasted barely 3 years and is now $80 more expensive than when I bought it. I almost returned the dryer when the plug casing cracked after the first month, but I didn't and here I am looking to replace my dryer that no longer turns on. Where are the quality built-to-last products?

This is a high end
This is a high end, super heavy duty hairdryer that is built in Italy - not in China like many dryers at lower price points - and is intended to stand up to all-day-long use in hair salons. It's not one of those feather-weight dryers and though it's not exceptionally heavy, it has a certain heft and solid feel about it that suggests that it's built to last. It also contains some of the latest technology which will dry hair faster with less hair-damaging heat.

It died in 5 months!!
I'm very upset. I bought this in February, and this morning it died on me. I am hoping to get some resolution when I notify the company. I spent way too much money for it to quit on me.

Great hair dryer
I had purchased two other hairdryers in the last six months, and all ran very hot and I smelled burning hair every time I dried my hair. My hairdresser recommended this iron and I thought no way am I going to spend over $100 on a hair dryer. After burning my hair to the point that it starting breaking off, I broke down and bought this dryer. It dries my very thick hair in half the time and I have yet to have that burnt hair smell. If it lasts as long as other reviewers have written, then it will be worth every penny.
