Love the bacon press

Does exactly what it is supposed to do, keep my bacon flat. Wooden handle does not get hot, which I was concerned about before using it. I did not want to have to get an oven mitt in order to pick it up, and thankfully, I don't have to do that.Purchased 3 so I can totally cover my range-top griddle pan. Great product.

This is a good heavy stainless steel press. It works well for bacon, in an extra large pan. The bacon cooks fast, compared to bacon that isn't pressed. Be sure to have sheets of paper towel ready to put the press on when you remove it from the plan. Wash up by hand-- don't soak it or immerse in water due the wooden handle. Would have given it 5 stars, except that the food side of the press is not completely smooth. It has two small circles-- that are smooth-- from the fasteners that attach the handle to the press. There is a very small ring around each of the two circles. The circle and the small ring don't change the performance of the press. It simply means you have to carefully clean the press, and the small rings around the circles-- and wipe the press well dry after each use. It's just a maintenance matter. The resulting bacon is terrific. Best bacon I've ever made. Well worth the price of the press.
