I fix a cup of Cacao powder on days I want to sit back and relax. It doesn’t taste artificial, it just good.

Excellent product. Arrived quickly. Has a delicious rich chocolate flavour and no added sugar. Having read the previous review, I was dubious about buying this powder which my friend had recommended to me. Having looked on the Consumer Labs website myself, it seems as though Aduna have not been deliberately misleading about their product – in fact, it was a mistake by Consumer Labs who published inaccurate information about an old version of the product. The new version of the product, which I received, still has 200mg of flavanols per 20g serving size so it definitely counts as a “high flavanol” product – as it is marketed. In fact, that is why it has been granted a health claim by the European Food Safety Authority. And the cadmium levels are within the World Health Organisation’s guidelines which is good enough for me. I like the fact that by making hot chocolate and baked goods using Super-Cacao instead of the regular cocoa powder I’ve used for years, my heart health is benefiting and I am also adding fibre, magnesium and potassium to my diet. I also like supporting companies that give back and Aduna works with small-scale producers in Africa.

Good taste and dissolves well.

Our first time to purchase this cacao but it will not be our last. Excellent taste and is responsibly sourced along with providing employment opportunities to those who will benefit. A win win situation.

I don’t drink coffee, I drink this with honey and milk. I’ve tired other brands and this seems to be the best out there in all the categories. 10/10

In my quest to find a low heavy metal cacao powder, I sent a sample of this to a lab to be tested. It came back low cadmium (0.3 mcg per gram which is way lower than any of the cacao powders Consumer Labs tested and way lower than any of the ones I had tested so far). However it had too much nickel for me since I'm allergic to nickel. For someone only worried about the cadmium content and nickel doesn't bother them, this is a good choice for cacao powder. (note: the lead amount was very tiny so no worries there)

I always used a different brand from South America but I switched to this because of concerns over cadmium.This brand creates a much richer cacao drink with great flavor profile which I actually prefer.You must be aware that cacao is not caffeine free and I definitely feel the energy kick effect after drinking this cacao. If you are sensitive to caffeine do be aware, otherwise drink to your health (in moderation). Cheers!

I wanted a top-quality pure cacao powder without anything extra. Ordered this and all I can say is OMG! this is sooo good. I add a tbsp to my chocolate protein shake and it makes it very chocolaty. I also noticed it helps my mood and concentration. I will definitely be getting this again! Some other recipe ideas: overnight oats, muffins, and hot chocolate. The Aduna website has a ton of recipes, too.
