MEDEHOO 2-Story Cat House for Outdoor Feral Cats Shelter Wooden Indoor Kitty House with 2 Doors, 2 Platforms, Weatherproof Roof and PVC Door Curtain

We needed a new shelter for our 2 farm cats after the chickens decided to keep them out of the barn, and this was a perfect choice. The two levels allows them to have plenty of space if needed, and the little plastic flaps and the window allow air circulation while providing shelter from the wind. We placed a heating pad in the bottom for the winter, and they both cuddled up and stayed warm even in winter storms. The food bowl has always stayed dry, and as a bonus feature the dog can't fit her head in the door and no longer steals the cat's food. The pieces fit together fairly well except for the bottom floor as they were a little too large, but we shaved off about 1/4 inch and it sits flush now. Great option for an outdoor cat shelter.

This cathouse is pretty easy to assemble but it does have a couple steps that is a bit confusing. The description of the small roof and stairs are the confusing parts in the directions. I love the way it is designed for cleaning and access. Our stray cat that we adopted and care for seems to love it. I went a little beyond what comes with the cathouse and lined the inside with insulation foam boards to keep it warmer in the winter. I also installed a couple outdoor electric kitty heated pads, one for each level. As far as longevity of the cathouse, I cannot give a good review on it as I put it inside our barn so that it isn't in the high winds that we have here in the lower part of Michigan. I do recommend this product as it is designed well for cats and it is quite heavy duty.

we will see how long it holds up. will only use in winter for outdoor cats. l added 2 layers of clear weather coat to hopefully help it last longer.

Took a little more than 45 minutes to put together. I would add the ledges after putting unit together since I couldn’t use the regular screw driver. It was too long following the steps. No serious complaints with the house. Although the edge of the roof is missing part of the corner and one of the joints lacked enough glue to keep it secured.

Really smaller than what I expected. It’s cute but prob for 1 full size cat or a couple kittens. If u keep the ramp out maybe 2 big cats. Had glitter stuff all in it. Has lots of parts. Only weatherized parts would be the 2 roofs. It’s really cute tho. Prob better for an inside cat house. For multiple outside cats just go ahead and get a dog house for the money

Easy to set up, even with a screwdriver instead of a drill, and it’s a good size for any cat. I also like that you can choose to have the two floors separate or connected. Since I’m using it for some feral kitties, it’s always important to have at least two doors, which made this design the winner for me.It did have a harsh, chemically smell when I opened the box, but it was gone by the time I finished setting it up. I had to wear gloves to keep it from getting onto my skin though, since it was so strong. I imagine it was something to help it last longer in the elements.Overall I am very happy with this little house!
