FML27/65 Reading Lamp Light Bulb FML27/EX-D FML27EX/N

Didn't work. Tested the lamp and proved it was a defective bulb. Hate that companies don't have better quality control - regardless of what price they charge. Amazon Customer Service was awesome for a return. These particular fluorescent SAD bulbs must be made by the same Chinese company, because I ordered another one from another vendor and it, too, did not work. Both bulbs were made by Triangle Bulbs "Made in China". Not sure how to get a working bulb. Very sad that this just adds to the growing dissatisfaction with Chinese quality control. Does anyone remember how Japan was in the same position in the 1950's and 60's as Chinese manufacturing plants are in now. Over the years we've come to appreciate the general high level of quality control that comes from Japanese products. What are we to think of the Chinese. It's not going well for them so far.

I bought a floor Verilux lamp 4 years ago for about $95.00 on sale. I have had nothing but problems with the lamp (the stem at based broke in about 2mos (with very little movement and the cover never stayed on) and only their bulbs fits into the socket which is way over priced. Not only their bulbs burn out quickly, the bulb burned the inside casing that holds the bulb. Do not waste your money on this brand (Verilux). I decided to buy a floor lamp just like Verilux for about $30.00 at a discount store. It works just as well, even better it produces a full 6000 as for Verilux is only at about 5700. MyGift FML27w fits mostly all other sunlamps and also is priced at fair value. It will not fit in any Verilux lamps.

The old reinvent the lightbulb is true.I am a huge advocate for CFL and LED, but these odd ball attachment schemes are a complete waste.If they work when you buy the they work well and last a long time and provide excellent lighting. The problem lies int the fact that you cannot buy a bulb with assurance that it will fit and work.Think about it. You can buy a 90 year old lamp, put a bulb it and it will work. Not so many of the 'lights of america' fixtures.I have replace almost every bulb in my home with CFL or LED. I am just not happy with the quality of the fixtures especially.

I had 2 lamps using these bulbs, when 1 burned out. Neither Home Depot nor Lowe's carries the bulbs anymore. I was considering retiring one of the lamps when I thought I'd try Amazon. Ordered two of them and is often the case with a new light bulb, the lamp is brighter than ever.ONE WORD OF CAUTION; MEASURE YOUR OLD BULB CAREFULLY WHEN ORDERING - THERE ARE SMALL VARIATIONS IN SIZE.

Poor fit and does not work. Lousy purchase. Rarely have I been disappointed with Amazon, but 2 different times I have gotten bulbs that apparently were made somewhere without quality control. Once for Oven lights and this time for sunlight lamp. Don't waste your money.

Received my bulb today! Held my breath while installing it in my lamp! It fit and worked! Will have to see about the possible up to 10,000 hour life they indicate. If it lasts the 4 years of constant use my originals from the lamp company did, I'll be ecstatic! I bought my two Balanced Spectrum® Floor lamps from firststreetonline.com many years ago. In fact, think I bought them from a catalog, before they went online. Have since bought bulbs from them too. When I recently went to buy bulbs again, if I bought 2 or more, they were $14.95 each plus $9.95 shipping. That's almost $40.00. This bulb was only $11.99 plus no shipping with Prime! Think I'm going to buy more.

I was so happy to find this bulb on Amazon. I was given a Sharper Image lamp as a gift a few years back to use with my stitching and reading. The bulbs emit a strong, perfect lighting environment for anyone doing fine craftwork that needs excellent lighting. I did find other replacement bulbs on the Internet which were more costly than this one, so I was thrilled when I found it available on Amazon Prime (the free shipping alone cut the cost tremendously from fees charged by other lighting sites.)HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - but of course only for use with a lamp requiring this size bulb and wattage!

This item was received in good condition and on-time. When we plugged it in, it fit the receptacle, and installed easily. When I turned the lamp on, however, it did not give a nice steady light. The light flickered continuously, immediately and when we left it on to see if it was a temporary issue, the light started flashing on and off rather than merely flickering. We are returning the item immediately.
