Fixed an oil leak and has been working for over 50k miles so far
Installed fine and worked as it should. Has been installed for over 50k miles and is still working well. The job itself is quite a project requiring removal of the intake manifold, but I don't recall any issues with the part itself.

Great Product
I received it promptly and noticed that the quality was better than another repair kit a friend used. It worked great, no more leaks.

Fit like a glove
I just needed the outer gasket. The new gasket looked exactly like the OEM gasket. It might seem like it's a little too big at first, but you just need to work it into the groove of your vacuum pump housing. It'll eventually settle into place. Good product!

Install Was Straightforward, Works Well, and Sure Beats $1200 at Dealership
My 2007 VW Rabbit w/ 2.5L 5-banger w/ manual transmission developed an oil leak off the side of the engine. I did some web surfing and found a really good video "VW JETTA GOLF BEETLE RABBIT 2.5 OIL LEAK FIX | COMMON OIL LEAK" by "Auto Repair Guys" that explained the issue. I've been around cars long enough to have worked on a '63 Chevy II, so I'm not shy about repairs, but I thought this could expand into a project I don't have time for. My repair shop and the semi-local VW shop wanted $1200, as they insisted on replacing the vacuum pump as well. OK, let's give it a whirl ourselves...I had to replace the 12v battery, so I did pull the battery and battery tray, which made this a lot easier!. Breaking the vacuum pump cover Torx screws' grip required me to twist the T25 screwdriver with Channellocks. I doubt I would have had anywhere as easy access without pulling the battery and battery tray.Be sure to super clean all surfaces before installing the new gasket. I did not see any heavy build up, but just like an oil burner oil pump gasket, use a straight razor to remove heavy residue. The whole project of pulling the battery and its tray, yanking off the engine cover and associated boots, removing the vacuum pump cover, and restoring all took me maybe 90 minutes. I was taking notes as I did that repair and was being very cautious, so in a pinch it could be done in less than an hour. The gasket was a straight forward fit - don't fret that it's circular out of the box and the contour it needs to fit in is not round. No leaks afterward.Aside: In my experience, most online repair videos are pretty bad. For small engine repair, I've gravitated to Donyboy73. I did scope out a few more videos from "Auto Repair Guys" and it's good, solid material. So if you have trepidations about repair, check out one of their videos and Amazon order away!

I hope the guy who put this together makes millions
Volkswagen makes some great products but frequently curses them with ill-conceived components. The vacuum pump is one of those parts. Designed with a mediocre seal that fails the ethical thing to do would be to offer the parts to fix it separately. But noooo...VW insists you have to buy an entire new pump for $300 when all you need are two rubber seals and a gasket. At last someone has sourced the needed parts and put them in this wonderful and affordable kit. The big orange seal that usually fails appears to be exactly like the OEM one. The metal gasket for the base is likely genuine. An O-ring for the vacuum port is also included, something I haven't seen addressed in many of the how-to videos. I think this is important as my port fitting was quite loose when I removed the pump. The new O-ring tightens it up with zero slop. This little seal kit is the solution to a truly annoying and unnecessarily expensive problem. There are many videos online to assist you in removal of the pump; and yes, it can be done on an automatic without pulling the transmission off the engine. The vendor also has a video online to assist you in rebuilding your pump. Some screws are difficult to see/access and installing the pump is a bit fiddly but certainly not rocket science. I recommend putting the pump housing on and then installing the new seal so you don't damage it. Great product!

High quality replacement
It's always better to pay a little more and install something once and have it work, than to buy something slightly cheaper and have to go back and take it apart. Especially for a job like this. Jettas are notorious for having this pump leak around the seals, put the new ones in and it stopped it immediately. The handbook says you need to separate the transmission from engine to do this job, but if you remove the black cover on the pump secured by the torx screws and bend the pump over the shifter linkage you can get it out.

Relatively easy fix for someone who does mechanics and stopped leaking oil on my 2.5l vw engine, oil was leaking between engine and transmission

Does not fit properly.
Not only does it not not fit properly. The rubber seal that they sent me is black. The advertised photo by the seller shows an orange seal. The OEM seal is supposed to be orange. I will be returning this mediocre product.

The O-ring in the kit does not fit Golf MKVI 2.5L engine
The oring-gasket which is the main item in this kit which is needed for a leaky vacuum pump doesn't fit the vw golf 2.5L engine. caused a lot of trouble since once you take apart the engine to replace this and you realized it is the wrong part. should not be advertised that it fits all models. I am not sure about other models but it does not fit the Golf MK6 2.5L! Returned!
