In all honesty, I did not buy the Forester Face & Hearing Protection Kit through Amazon because I found it advertised at a lower price in a local retail store; however, it seems to work as intended and is inexpensive. This is clearly not a product for every day professional use, but may prove useful for non-professional / occasional use. The assembly instructions are terrible, so use the pictures on the box to guide you. If you are not hung up on finding the absolute lowest price, then Amazon may be you best option due to ordering convenience.

I just bought a new wood chipper. It hasn't arrived at my house yet, but I want to be ready when it is delivered. It's a model that borders on commercial-quality, which means that it is very powerful and needs to be used with care. Consequently, when I saw this Forester Face Protection Equipment Kit on Amazon, it was just what I had envisioned to help protect me from potential hazards imposed by operating such heavy machinery.Actually, it's better than I had envisioned. I was just looking for a simple face shield. Well, I got that with the Forester, but where I was looking for a clear plastic shield, this one has a strong protective mesh screen instead. To me, that's a superior solution. The clear plastic blocks breezes and creates a really hot and humid micro-climate between my face and the shield, causing fogging issues, as well as discomfort from more sweating than I would normally do without such a mask. I believe the screen will solve that problem nicely. Of course, I will also wear safety glasses as I always do when operating power equipment that can fling stuff around.In addition to the nice face shield, this model also includes a hearing protection headset that snaps right into the headgear for an all-in-one protection package that goes on in one piece, without the muffs interfering with the shield of vice-versa. As one would expect, there is a knob at the back of the head strap that allows easy tightening to just the size that's needed. The shield flips up easily and stays put in whatever position you choose thanks to the tension adjustment knobs on the sides of the shield. There is also a padded forehead cushion for comfort and to keep sweat from flowing down your forehead and into your eyes. All this for a very reasonable price - what a good find!

The aspect that I like the best is the material of the face shield, being a mesh instad of solid plastic. This allows better air flow (less heat build up on my face) as well as doesn't show the accumulated dust as easily. I really like the ear muffs integration with the face shield. I'm very happy with this product!

The reviews were accurate and husband is very happy with this ear protection, visor and face guard.The mesh face covering provided just what he was looking for. He wears goggles for eye protection, but gravel could still hit is face and neck while line trimming. This was a hit! Ear protection is great and comfortable.
