The Adventures of Gracie and MonkeyBear: Book 1: Summer Paperback – Illustrated, 25 April 2017

My daughter & I both thoroughly enjoy this book. Wonderful, imaginative, captivating story about the creative imagination of a young girl & her beloved companion. It’s just detailed enough, but leaves room for the young reader to explore her own ideas about the backyard adventures. This instantly became one of my daughter’s favorite stories. Although empowering for young girls, the story would have equal appeal to any child.

Truly lovely story about young girl and her incredible imagination. She encorporates her best friend who is a dog, and anything she sees around her. Purchased this for 3 & 4 y/o granddaughters. They love story time and this will be great addition to their growing library. I am definitely looking for more books from this author and illustrator. Beautiful pictures with positive story line. I know my lovies will love it.

I saw that it was a starred review with Kirkus and my youngest daughters name is Gracie so it was a must. I have to say we weren't disappointed and I will be reading this book to her class this Friday. I look forward to buying the next one!
