Could not get it to solar charge well. Left it in direct sunlight for 9 hours and it only gained 1 light (out of 4)... plugged my phone in and it charged for 5 minutes. So, 9 hours of solar charging the unit = 5 minutes of charging capability for my phone. Not useful as a backcountry camping option, which was my intended purpose. Decent charging capacity and functional when fully charged by cord.

I fully charged the unit using a wall charger prior to camping. After attaching it to an iPad at 5% charge and letting it sit in the sun all day while charging the unit was drained and the iPad was at 80%. Several times in the charging process I had to switch ports as it stopped charging and would. It restart until I did so. It appears to not take the solar charge nor work as a stand alone battery charger. I’m sticking to the $5 Chargers next to the checkout. At least they charge an iPad.

Charges phone quickly BUT left it in the sun all day and the battery still only shows half full. Isn't the sun supposed to charge it's internal battery?Update: I failed to see that it needs 1-3 weeks to recharge by sun! Seems like too long of a time for even emergencys but I failed to read the description closely.

Great size for backpacking, etc. Seems to hold a charge well and is able to charge two devices at once in a little over an hour. Don't want to do anything outdoors without it now!

Pretty much does what it says but the loop where you hook the small carabiner is part of the rubber outer case and is not attached very well. Used it on one trip on the river and it was never dangling off of what I hooked it to (was hooked to cooler and lying flat the whole time) and the rubber case is now peeling off and the attachment loop seems worthless. Also the cover for the usb ports does not really stay closed or snap shut like it should and will likely do little to 'waterproof' the device. As others have said it charges extremely slowly from the sun..

I'm attempting to exchange this product and try again with the same one. IMO, this is the best solar battery charger on Amazon within its price range. The flashlight is a nice touch. The solar cell is only rated at 1.8W so it VERY slowley charges the battery. If the USB port didn't break is give it a 5 star rating.

Charge phone once then only 5% ..Charge ....don't recommend it...
