Terrific fun, informative book in the style of Casual Geographic
I became completely hooked on Mr Ndiaye's Casual Geographic channel on YouTube quite some time ago. I'm a lifelong animal/biology nut, student, & teacher, and I love his sense of humor on his videos & his clear desire to provide accurate information. I was really thrilled when I saw he had a book coming out and immediately pre-ordered it. For various reasons, I wasn't able to write a review immediately, but here 'tis.If you love Ndiaye's CG vids, you'll love the book. I see that some reviewers are annoyed that the book is so similar in style to his tiktok vids. I had no real conscious expectations, but I would've been real surprised when I got the book if it DIDN'T have Ndiaye's unique, signature style. I loved those parts, and really loved the bit of bio that is included in the book. I may be female, white, & 62, but I swear, Mamadou Ndiaye and I are twins born a few decades apart. He sounds EXACTLY like me, so fascinated by animals from such an early age that it just had to be innate, obsessed with learning about them, teaching about them. I just wish I had such a fantastic wit, too!I've done a great deal of field work in my long & varied biology career, and I would've given anything to have a person of Ndiaye's caliber, wit, & knowledge along on any of my trips. i certainly worked with some truly wonderful people, but Mr Ndiaye is really in a class by himself. I feel better about the future survival of the non-human inhabitants on this planet, knowing that there are young people like this man coming up to fight for them. May he live long and prosper!!So yeah, this review comes from an unabashed fan who has deep respect for this young man!

Amazing & informative!
I love this book! It was fantastic. It reminded me of my childhood, when I'd read a ton of animal fact books all the time. Books like this are incredibly important for awareness. I read this in the author's voice, too. I think he's my favorite creator-of-video content of all time, and his teachings translate into book form very well too. He is educating and entertaining not only folks like me, but the next generation, and bringing awareness, too. I think having books in this form are great because they keep attention while teaching.I agree that some animals are demonized like the wolf by humanity with no valid reason. Sharks, too. But I love the last entry (I won't spoil it, though someone who cares about animals & nature can likely guess). Mamadou is walking in Steve Irwin's footsteps in a really good way, and I look up to him with all my heart. Thanks for this awesome book.Oh! And the art/formatting is beautiful. I'm so glad I got paperback, it's so wonderfully done.

My favorite book of all time
I do NOT write reviews, but in this case, I have to.I am a scientist, an animal enthusiast, the owner of hundreds of non-fiction books, and absolutely obsessed with Mamadou Ndiaye. I originally found his videos on social media, and his uniquely comedic way of portraying the animal kingdom has me in tears every time. I only found this book because I was looking for more of his content, and when I did find it, I couldn't hit "buy now" fast enough. This book is now proudly displayed in my guest room (rather than in my library) for everyone who visits to notice and enjoy. I even bring it out regularly to show guests some of my favorite snippets because I still laugh. Every. Time.Thank you for writing this book, and thank you for bringing fun and comedy to the ever-fascinating planet we live on!

Casual Geographic On Hand Without the Internet
A book allows the luxury of offering information without the need for batteries or connection or any other kind of hassle which comes from the 'Net these days. With the same humorous delivery from Mamadou that made his videos famous, this book is well worth the read and re-read. Sure, you might not want to enter the forest (because Grizzlies) or the ocean (because of the many things in it which aren't necessarily sharks) or anywhere a Hippopotamus exists, but at least you'll have been properly informed.

Every kid needs this book.
This guy really researched these animals and put a lot of thought into his ratings. This will keep a kids attention. It’s our favorite animal guy from YouTube and this book rocks! My grandson and I learned a whole lot from this and we read a lot of books.

The Casual Guide To Dangerous Animals
I quickly became addicted to Mamadou's (aka Casual Geographic) wit, style, and hilarious delivery of animal info that we Never received in school. His YouTube vids are an informational treat for the ears and eyes. So of course I wanted to buy his book.Wow, I'm so impressed with the high quality of this book. The pages are glossy, thick, with graphics and printing that are well thought out. It's a smaller sized book that nicely fits into your travel bag. What a great consideration as many of us like to have a book on hand while waiting in public or at a doctor's office. It's a conversation starter which will leave you & anyone you're talking to in stitches with laughter.Well worth the money, and I look forward to a Part 2.
