The Spectacular Spider-Man: Volume One

This is the best way to start owning The Spectacular Spider-Man volumes. In the first episode, Survival of the Fittest, Spider-Man takes on the vengeful Vulture, with Robert Englund given praise to voicing the character. In the episode Interactions, Spider-Man takes on Electro, with praise going to Crispin Freeman voicing the character. And in the episode Natural Selection, Spider-Man faces his gravest challenge as he takes on The Lizard while as Peter Parker, he makes a hard decision that has great consequences. This first volume is truly not to be missed.

My three year old son is a huge fan of Spiderman. It's not horrible, but there are some attitudes and language (like suck and things on that level). I watch it him whenever he wants to watch it just to make sure I'm fully engaged in what's going in his brain. After watching, he just reenacts the fighting anyway (with his figurines).

Multiple, quick shows. You can tell it is an older movie, the picture quality of the movie is not the best but my 4 year old likes it!

My 3 year old loves spider man great price came quickly couldn't of asked for better

I was very impressed with the background and the subtle humor from the background that went along with the banter of the fights and obvious humor (small spoiler - ex: Doc Ock defeated on the octopus ride, very well played). All the stories were well written for adults! 6 stars! The only main problem I have is the childish large eyes that distract and belittle the character of the show itself. 2 stars! Also Spider-man is drawn a bit out of proportion many times. Why? 3 stars! This goes for all 8 Volumes. Then we have 3 or 4 episodes per Vol. and Paying $95 for 26 episodes is uncalled for. No stars, just a blackhole.

My son absolutely loves Spider-Man. He has all the Spider-Man DVDs plus more! He saw the series Spectacular Spider-Man on Foxtel and as it has not been released on DVD in Australia, I did a search via Google. When I placed the order with Amazon, my son counted down the days until it was delivered. He now has volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the series and is eagerly awaiting the release of the next volume. I certainly get my monies worth of these DVDs !!!! I am one very happy and very grateful mum ...... Thanks Amazon :-)

My nephew loves Spiderman this is perfect for him

I had seen a couple of episodes on the net and wanted to get this. I'm happy with the purchase but there are a few things you should know.1. This doesn't have spider-mans origin... understandable, when the death of one of the good guys following the selfishness of the hero, and this is a kids show.2. As you can tell by the cover, this is a more anime style cartoon rather than the realistic animation used in the 90s spider-man and x-men show. This isn't for everybody, but I collect all kinds of animation so anime is a big part.The action sequences are fantastic for, what is, a kids show.If you or your kids like the animation of "Avatar: the Legend of Aang" or "The Batman" then you should like this.3. Voice cast... so far exemplary, Robert Englund, Clancy Brown, etc.4. This is a little old and hasn't been updated for it's european release. The trailers are for movies from 2006. Not a big deal but still notable.

I purchased this for my nephew after watching it online. I watched both seasons on youtube and watched a couple of episodes with him which he enjoyed (especially the intro song). My only criticism however is that this DVD does not contain all the episodes from season one, which I expected it to when I ordered it. I suppose if I'd have looked in to it more I'd have realised this before buying, but just a word of warning that this DVD only contains three episodes. Either way I think it's a great series overall and I'm sure he'll enjoy it.

My son just 6 loves superheros so this is great & suitable for him to watch.

The dvd came with a 2.99 sticker on it!!! The cheek of it. Do not buy for the ridiculous price of 6.99!Try the dvd sections in the supermarkets for a 2.99 purchase which is probably what the seller did but forgot to remove the sticker.Aside from that it was standard prime delivery and good old spidey.

A decent Spider-man series, but the DVD volume thing is poor value for mooney, It would be much better to be able to purchase the entire series rather than lots of different volumes?I ended up downloading the rest of them rather than purchasing many volumes.
